We strongly believe that every album/song released by major artist should have a karaoke version. This would settle having several different name brands, etc. The music industry would make a lot of money doing this and if they hired a 24/7 watchdog to completely crush all who try to pirate/cheat/steal. (which is actually not too hard, nor will cost them a lot.) You DO NOT have to sue people to be effective. You simply have smart people that spend 24hrs. a day surfing the net in 8hr shifts and using the true power of the publishers/music license places and SHUT IT ALL DOWN every second you see it. I promise that no matter how many pop up, you will clearly put a damper on the market of piracy. Cost far less money for preventive maintenance than it would to spend the courtroom dollars to bring people to justice. TURN the faucet completely off and it will help stop the leaking far more than the greedy approach that is taken today.
1. Our apologies up front if there has been a thread on this before.
2. Our opinion simply is just that. Collective ideas to try and help.

In life, people who care about certain subject matter could easily conjure up all sorts of ideas in their heads and share with others. Everyone of our thoughts are meant to establish a friendly base for conversations. As always, none of us here are MMA fighters, so we will admit defeat before the fight even begins if anyone should choose an aggressive debate to distort the true context.

Yeah this has been brought up before, but record companies & artists are too stupid to realize there is money to be made with releasing their tracks into karaoke versions themselves. Taylor Swift is the only bright light in that respect!

We had the opportunity to interact with band members from some of the most famous bands on earth recently and brought up that conversation again. True: Many musicians have this feeling that karaoke is so beneath them that they refuse to even speak of it and fail to realize the true potential for additional revenue. We are talking about millions. By the end of this year, we will know better whether or not we can get some major players on board to start talking to other artist and see if it can gain some traction. Wish us luck!

We are talking about millions. I too have spoken to many an artist about this. The general feeling is that Karaoke is a bastardization of their baby. I had one Grammy winning artist tell me "It was like asking a famous painter to print up half-finished art so that amateurs can finish his work and pretend to be Picasso".

Hear ya loud and clear on that. They forget that it would be their original. Thankfully more and more young artist are all for karaoke. We are going to talk to a Country Grammy winner and a well known guitarist to start putting more buzz out to see where it goes.

By the way. If I put up a sample online for you guys to listen. Would you consider supporting an up and coming local girl group (sisters) that just cut their first cd. We are mentoring young local talent to reach their potential. Buy the cd and show your support. Anyone wish for us to buy a cd as well, we are all for it. They are actually really good. That's why we are spending so much time to help them. Even have Neil Zazza who is and Artist for Carvin helping with the recording studio.

When you grew up being really good at everything you did, yet always falling short of having the ability to be the front runner. You see yourself as the backup singer, the replacement kicker, the last minute fill in for a boxing match. Instead of finding contempt for others that have that edge and truly can become that star, we mentor those people to live a dream we could not.

Isn't it rare for an artist to own his or her own recordings? Many artists do not write the songs they lend their voice to. This would mean that the decision would probably be left to the record company - and not the artist.
I've said it before - why wouldn't the record companies put out a karaoke version? All they would have to do is omit the lead vocals. I think it's weird that they don't and I can only assume that there are legal restrictions preventing them from doing so.

I was talking mainstream artists & the releases of 'entire' albums as karaokemirror versions, not just a handful of tracks.
