Too bad you cannot make karaoke into a religion... under federal copyright laws, you can freely use any music you want during a religious service.

Maybe we should start the First Church of Karaoke!

That's not too outlandish when you compare this idea to some of the things different religions around the world worship.

Environmentalism is a religion too, so have a karaoke religion is not too far fetched either.

It's good for the soul to go out and sing ya know.

I am looking into legal sites to download karaoke music that has been licensed, etc, by the company selling them.

I have seen the debate about BuyKaraokeDownloads.com and am curious if it is legal, licensed for KDJ use, for people who have used this site what the quality is like?

Currently, the site we use the most is Karaoke-Version.com with the occasional purchase from Sunflykaraoke.com Most of our songs comes from ligitimate CDGs, but as we now use laptops for all of our shows, I am looking to keep up with new karaoke and if possible find some of the harder to find karaoke, but once again, only from legal, licensed sites.

If anyone has any updates or input on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

This has been most beneficial to me, having no idea so many sources existed...thank you all very much! LSS40/Lee

Many of those sources are no longer really valid if you live in the US as there are many "UK" links, and several of the sites were dead links from dead companies. I just went through and updated them.
