To be fair to Smoothedge69 (regardless of my teasing him about SC), his requests for titles that are already out on some SC CDGs, are also new requests. I say that because I believe (feel free to correct me if I am wrong) all of the SC CDGs are out of print. Whatever is available for a Vendor to sell is already out there. If a Vendor doesn't have it, then they can order it from SC (provided SC still has it in their inventory, but no new discs are being pressed). If a Vendor doesn't have it (and can't order it), then you have to search e-bay (and hope to find it there). The only thing that may be new would be SC's GEM series, AND, it's OBVIOUS that Smoothedge69 is NOT going to shell out $5K+ just to have those songs which he needs to have replaced (due to wear and tear). And, SC is not doing Custom Discs anymore, so that's not even an option.

Actually there are quite a lot of soundchoice tracks that I would not mind in the least if they got re-done by another company. Mostly because I don't have them, and soundchoice discs are getting harder and harder to find.

if there was a legal download source for those tracks, I would be all over that.

of course stuff never done at all would be even better, just wouldn't mind both if it was possible

I have been hoping against hope that someone would release another trooper disc, because the karaokemaker one is so freakin' rare it isn't even funny.. Every single lead/source I've tracked down so far has turn out to be illegal..

Drum machine??? Not hardly. I will say that the sound of the audio when doing a simple video conversion from mp3+g leaves a lot to be desired. But certainly no drum machine. What track are you referring to?

This is what amazes me..... Exactly how persnickety can a KJ be?

If it's a song that's never been done before, and it's something you want for your singers, do you really think your singers are going to care one way or the other -- in a noisy karaoke bar -- even if it was a drum machine?

I doubt it.

No, I get it. We are not just interested in producing never before done tracks. We are all about the quality. The difference in this sample from the others, is that I created a basic sample video from the CDG using a basic tool because I couldn't wait to post something and HD conversion is in line to be done. The other sample video was HD with 320 audio. But trust me, the drums are live or we would not have bothered. I will put up the HD version when they are done and I think it will address any concern....

I said it sounds great and will HAPPILY & eagerly buy each and every track.
The one that stood out for me was Some Heads Are Gonna Roll - the drums just sound too 'perfect' to be live but I won't doubt & look forward to the launch!!

I feel much better... We hired one of the best studio drummers we could find specifically for the rock tracks so I was really taken back when I saw the comments. I am glad you are pleased....we are. I will let you know what the next round of songs will be from your list and the list started on the Facebook page.

The goal here is to make the highest quality recordings, in a reasonable amount of time for everyone. I have been beta testing the new site and it is coming along really nicely....I will put up a few screen shots soon and an email will go out to those who signed up with a special offer and sneak peek.
