I just went to All star karaoke website to see their Sept release and its all country Plus 9 songs instead of 10...I wont be buying this disc..I like it when it was a mix of pop and country..wonder what happen...looks like another karaoke business is going out...when they start making changes like this..it doesnt look good

I like the idea of an ALL Country disc from them. I hope they keep them coming. Country sells better than pop in their line of work so they tried to put a few pop hits on what would be a country disc and the country fans probably complained about having to buy pop songs just to get the country songs that they wanted. The days of having to buy fluff music are over.

I stand corrected... I just got an email from all star karaoke...they are going to be putting out a Pop and Country each month...the Sept Pop should be out soon they said..ok..now i can relax..

First it was they were going to put out a country disc and a pop disc each month...get a call today saying they were instead going to put out 2 disc each month that have both country and pop..wish they would make up their minds.....ssshheeesssshhhhhh

It's called marketing. They don't want you to buy the Pop discs and me to buy the country discs. By splitting them up between 2 discs they get both of us to buy 2 discs each.....just like back in the day when Sound Choice had only about 5 or 6 Tom Petty songs. Each one was on a separate disc so if you wanted those 6 Tom Petty songs, you had to spend about 180 dollars to get them.....and then they wonder why people started downloading their songs for free. The reason that the GEM Series is only 6000 songs is because , for the most part, all the rest of their titles were just FLUFF that nobody wanted to sing anyway.

Just my opinion of course.

BruceFan, how long have i been saying that exact thing? thank you for restating it.
on the plus side, these two all star discs will cost about the same as one SC disc.
