KV changed their voting rankings. Too many people were voting on songs to be made and then not buying them thus causing them to lose money to get the rights to make the songs. Sorry, cannot vote on this at this time - nothing i'd seek out to purchase if made.

How do you request a song be made by KVersion? Do you just click on "contact" & just tell them the name/artist of the song for possible release? (at their discretion, of course). Thanks.

They created the situation themselves because people would ask everyone they knew to vote for a song. They turned it into a popularity contest where people were allowed to stuff the ballot box. It's not much different than those karaoke contest where the winner is determined by audience applause. If you bring enough people to scream and yell for you, you win; even if you're the worst singer in the bar.

There were voting group sites yes, I belong to 4 of them, but part of the requirements was that you bought everything you voted for. I have several instrumentals that I have no interest in, but bought because I voted on them for the groups. But I am not going to waste votes on something I don't want anymore. If it happens that songs get made, then that is the luck of the draw - they just won't get as much money from me personally (and i've spent several hundred there in the last year) is all.
So yes, that is the problem, I think people were voting but not buying.

So how do their rankings work now? Do votes from customers spending more money on the website have more influence? Does one's vote for a song from a particular artist carry more weight if one has purchased several tracks by said artist?

I had asked for a couple of Luke Bryan songs over a year ago and neither one of them have been made but if you're looking for a song from GLEE or Taylor Swift, It is very often your lucky day. They haven't put out a song in quite a while that I had requested that wasn't already made by some other karaoke producer first. I'm not going to buy something that I already have.

A while back, I had asked for Lou Christie's "I'm gonna make you love me".......found it by Zoom, just a few days ago... :o .......also found out, that I don't sing it as well as I thought I could....

I do believe the ones that buy more have a little more voting power. According to one of the groups I am in, after a buy, the vote counts as two as opposed to 1. But that may have changed too.
