this is on their website:

"Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. By using this website you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts." and english courts does mean europe, not america!

so if your in america, then i wouldn't be purchasing anything sunfly, especially downloads.
now if you bought the disc's and have them on hand your probably ok.
and if your venue is current with their ASCAP, BMI, & SESAC fees then i wouldn't worry about it as you'd probably never have them come in to do an audit check of your music.

but if the venue is flying under the radar and not paying fee's then i would chance it, i've had an ascap audit and they wan't to see every disc you own and verify it with your books.
they can't nail you if you have the disc to prove you own it.

if you are in the US and would like to get Sunfly downloads go to www.karaokecloud.com. We have secured the licenses for Sunfly downloads here in the States. The entire catalog is not up, but as we secure more licenses from publishers more will come available.

I presume you mean the newer Sunfly releases. Most of the old Sunfly music is identical to SBI/Abraxa/Legends/Mr. Entertainer/etc (meaning some of it is terrible) but the lyrics aren't as easy to read. It seems only really in the last 5-10 years you get Sunfly releases that aren't (yet) on any other label (although Karaoke-version is catching up) but for the really old stuff you're probably better sticking to SBI/AX or whatever is standard in America.

There's also Xtreme Karaoke, which seems to have rebranded SBI music (and therefore probably some Sunfly too), but I don't know what the connection is there.

You got that backward, the NEWER Sunfly is the same music as SBI. The older Sunfly stuff had a lot more terrible stuff. Although I prefer the SBI swipe method over the Sunfly.

with the new software from Power Karaoke, you can change the swipes to lok any way that you want them to look. you can even make them scroll like a teleprompter.

Gretchen I followed that link and clicked on the terms of use and came across this clause...

"Your use of the Product is conditioned upon your prior acceptance of the terms of this Agreement.
You shall be authorized to use the Products only for personal, non-commercial use..."

I'm confused - Are professional KJs allowed to purchase downloads from karaoke cloud for use in their shows or not? That clause sounds like a big fat no to me, but I'd like it to be otherwise. Meanwhile I'm too scared to use any of your products till that gets cleared up.
