After reading several items on the internet..it looks like we will have to wait till the year 2014 for any new music from this chart topping diva...I cant wait to see what see comes out with next I do have to say alot of her songs are NOT being sung anymore at my show at least

Just to give you a heads up...she has pulled her license for karaoke in the US. Not sure if she has pulled it everywhere.
So if you have anything of hers hang onto it. You won't be able to get it anymore.

Anyway I've just checked custom burn and select a track and all the Adele songs are still there, all present and correct, so it appears it just the unfortunate Americans being penalised karaoke-wise... again. I do feel you you people.

I wouldn't call "never hearing Adele at my karaoke show ever again" being penalized. I call that a blessing.... -Chris

On the flipside, I like Adele and really don't hear enough of her for some reason.

She has rather gone the way of Michael Bublé recently. By penalised I meant yet more spokes in the wheels as far as karaoke goes for you folks in the States.

I am just being silly. I don't personally care for Adele's music. Just not my style. My wife loves her though and sings it on purpose at my shows to get under my skin. So I sing Iron Maiden and Metallica (at home...not at karaoke....ever) at home to get her back.
I just cringe when people select certain artists....Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Steve Perry knowing that chances are it is going to be butchered. Adele falls into this category as well. I don't like her music but I respect her voice. Her music is not easy for anyone to sing.

-Chris And you don't sing Maiden and Metallica at Karaoke, WHY?? I wish there was much more Maiden on Karaoke. I would love to do Flight of Icarus, Still Life, The Wicker Man, A Brave New World, Fear Of The Dark, Infinite Dreams, Dance Of The Dead, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, to name a few.

Because I don't have the voice for those songs. I am admittedly much more of a ballad kind of singer even though I do my share of rockin' out songs. But it really comes down to what works and doesn't work for karaoke. There is a lot of music that I love to listen to when I am at home alone or with a group of friends that also appreciate that particular kind of music. But the same songs just aren't really public karaoke material. -Chris

If you want your audience to listen to what you sing you need to sing what they want to hear. Sing to them not at them.

While your statement does have some merit, there are times when you can sing something that the audience was never expecting, and they will stop what they're doing to pay attention to that Singer. Case-in-point, Broadway songs. I have walked into bars that have been mostly geared towards Country or Rock, and I have belted out songs like "MOTN" (which would never get sung at your shows due to your time restrictions), and I have received standing ovations from some.

Maybe "Sing FOR them, not AT them" is more appropriate.
