On Oct 8th ..KORN will be releasing their new album THE PARADIGM SHIFT I have requested several of the new songs off this album to Karaoke version and SBI..Keeping My Fingers Crossed..all I know is we need some new Rock Karaoke!!!!!! Songs on Korn New Album Prey For Me Love And Meth What We Do Spike In My Veins Mass Hysteria Paraniod And Aroused Never Never Punishment Time Lullaby For A Sadist Victimized Its All Wrong |

It's hard to say Yes or No based only on the band, but I don't get a lot of edgier hard rock requests at my places. It does happen now and then, and I wish the right people would requests more of it more often. I voted know, but I will buy it for anyone that requests it. I just won't pro-actively get it. But I don't pro-actively get very many tracks at all any longer. -Chris |

Have I gotten requests for any new korn stuff...no but would it be done if it was purchase..you bet..I don't get a lot of request for anything in general but Korns stuff is always being doing at my show ..so its a given..also after listening to there new song NEVER NEVER I have a feeling it going to be a good album...and Im not even a metal fan...  P.S...NEVER NEVER is currently #2 on AMERICANSMUSICCHARTS. COM |

They have been dabbling in Metal, lately, and doing pretty good at it. |

It blows my mind when I hear people complain about not enough rock ( todays rock ) but yet will not buy it if it was released..oh well |

Well......and this make me sound like my father when I say the words out loud..... "There is rock and roll......and there is just noise" There is a lot of "rock" that is just playing the guitar as fast as possible with unintelligible barking attached to it. It has a place in music, but not in karaoke. -Chris |

When it comes to Metal, I like the more melodic Metal bands like Dream Theater, and Iron Maiden. I HATE the growling type stuff. But, my liking for rock spans everything from Yngwie Malsteen to Dave Matthews. I like good musicianship. Some of my favorites are Rush, Zeppelin, Yes, Focus, Jethro Tull, live Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Black Country Communion, Alter Bridge, and so on. And YES, Lonnie, I do complain that they need to put out more rock. That is what I sing, and so do some of my people. I think there is a LARGE cross section of Rock that is just missing from Karaoke and needs to be addressed. Hopefully more companies will step up and get it done. If not, Oh well. |

Sorry haven't really heard much that is very exciting in the way of rock and I try to listen to the new stuff daily. There is a lot of good pop out right now. And yes, the older stuff IS what is requested and wanted around here. Lots of good music from the 70's - early 2000's that has never been tapped yet. THIS is what I actively get requests for, new rock - nil. |

Different places are always different crowds. There's a place down in Port Charlotte that they look at you funny if you do anything but Country. |

I get TONS of rock requests, I can just count on 1 hand with fingers left over how much of 'todays' rock that gets asked for. Halestorm being the most requested. |
