Is Stevie Nicks' version of Somebody Stand By Me available in mp3+g?? I have the Faith Hill version, but one of my regular singers would like Stevie's version, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

See other thread. What Lonnie said, except they don't have graphics/word swipes.

Depends on when they were released. Some Pocket Songs discs that were originally released as CD only, sometimes were 're-released as cog then 're-released again as CD only.

Partytyme has it in HD... I saw it being sung at the Nightclub and Bar show in Vegas last week.... so maybe it will be put out by them in the future.

I don't get the HD thing ? Does clearer graphics somehow give you a better karaoke experience?

I have astigmatism. Anything that smooths out edges is awesome.

all highly subjective. I have acute/very severe astigmatism, and honestly i can't see enough of a difference to conclusively say it makes a difference one way or the other. And since the software I use doesn't support video of any kind, that just makes the decision for me that much easier *lol*

check out Siglos, it smooths the edges of regular CDG graphics. kinda virtual upconversion.

I thin it depends on the graphics card too. My first computer the edges of all karaoke songs looked very jagged and edgy, I bought a high end graphics card & those same songs look very smooth.

resolution as well. i don;t run hdmi, but i do keep the second screen at 1024x768 instead of the usual 800x600 for karaoke.

I set all screens to 720p since that is a native resolution even for older flat panels that many bars have upgraded to. Karma scales the singer display screen regardless, so it doesn't reduce the font size or rough the edges regardless of resolution.

I have ditched all of my COAX and RCA cabling and standardized on HDMI. I have started turning down gigs at bars that have old style CRT screens. Just like bars seem to have minimums expectation of me, I have my minimum expectations of them.

One of those being they understand it isn't 1999 any longer. :)
