Since we now have at least 4 major manufacturers that pop in here, put down song requests you'd like to see. Maybe, JUST maybe, they can find their way to karaoke. Let's keep it just song requests, no converstation unless it pertains to the song requested by either a known disc/manu that has released it and/or where you can get it. If you see a song someone else requested, quote it & 2nd it - this shows more interest and would be more likely a better candidate for karaoke release. You can also submit your vote at karaoke-version.com but if you vote for your own, please throw in a vote for everyone elses. Thanks

What a great idea Lonnie. We need more of these sticky subjects.
What I would love to see are anything by David Lindley (specially his version of the Beatles songs)

Selectatrack has Nutshell, I believe, as well as quite a number of other AIC songs.

Karaoke version has the instrumental of "I'M GONNA MAKE YOU MINE" for sale. You just have to create the cdg file for it or memorize it and you're good to go.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Everything off the Paul McCartney Wings Over America live cd that hasn't been done.
Today I was researching it on Amazon.com and saw that one user in the discussion forum says this recording will be digitally remastered in 2011. I can only hope so, and I must suspect that SC is already working furiously on more McCartney material in their sound studio.
So here is the track listing of the ones that I think should be done (either haven't been done yet, or the existing version is not as good as the live version, like on Maybe I'm Amazed for which the live version has a better tempo and better rendition).
1. Venus and Mars/Rock Show/Jet (nice to have this as a medley but with also the ability to sing Jet seperately if you want to shorten the medley. Venus & Mars and Rock show should definitely be a medley like on the recording in my opinion)
3. Spirits of Ancient Egypt
4. Medicine Jar
5. Maybe I'm Amazed
6. Call Me Back Again
10. Picasso's Last Words (Drink to Me)
11. Richard Cory
12. Bluebird
1. You Gave Me the Answer
2. Magneto and Titanium Man
6. Time to Hide
7. Silly Love Songs
9. Letting Go

I believe another Buffett CDG with new songs would sell well.

Couple of things...
First... I'm afraid I don't know how to do a search of this board to see whether or not I might be repeating a request from someone else. Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Thanks.
Secondly... I noted where, earlier, someone mentioned a John Prine & Iris Dement track they'd like to see. I'd like to add one to that list. "The Speed Of The Sound Of Lonliness" is one of my favorite tunes of all time, and I'd love to see a Karaoke version produced. Although I think it was written by John Prine, I've heard many different vocal versions... and pretty-much any of them would do.
Finally... (I may be repeating myself here) I cannot fathom why there are no relatively recent Johnny Reid tracks... He's had several #1 hits here in Canada over the past few years, and lives in Nashville. I love to see a Johnny Reid Karaoke compilation with such songs as "Darlin", "Kicking Stones"; "Dance With Me"; and several more.
That's my rant... Thanks for listening.. er.. reading.
Cheers
Earl
