how about re-wording the phrase to read ...

you know your a karaoke addict when your spouse calls from your bed asking when are you coming to bed and your to busy typing at this forum to here them......
oh by the way the Kahuna has been a little down as of late.....if you got a minute drop him an email.....he could use a little cheering up and you my online friends are just the people tp do it..... _________________

I've been quoting you guys and alluding to the wisdom I am garnering from this site for the past week and my wife has tracked me down. "The Queen" is my wife, not only the best sound "man" around, but also the best dancer. We run a round of singers, then a dance set of anywhere from 2 to 5 songs, depending on crowd reaction. The Queen will frequently give a quick dance lesson, and is solely in charge of dance selections. And her husband loves her.

hello.....well it's my wife......for those who should ask....
that's country girl here...she reads more than she types....
recently....ah today....i was told that we...my wife and I only show up at contests....take the money and leave....this really bothered me....cause I'm sensitive about such things.....karaoke addicted and still using....now our local contests have made the rule you can't use your own discs....for our benifit I'm sure...cause ther are very few in this backwoods area that have there own discs.....but those of us addicts who buy our own discs understand......so a person who owns 1233 songs and isn't a KJ must be an addict.....  .....ya think they would appreciate not putting the ware and tear on their discs.....well a few jealous singers complained that it wasn't fair.....waaaaa!!!......too much gold slager tonite....maybe I shouldn't vent my feelings in this intoxicated manner...but hey I'm an addict....  _________________

...you practice yourself hoarse before you sing and worry you overdid it in the car and don't have anything left for the stage
...you're so busy posting on the Karaoke Scene board and don't realize you have to go get ready to go out to karaoke night and you're going to be LATE!!
Gotta go take a shower!!!!!!!! Ack!! It starts in 30 minutes and it's a 20 minute drive!!

You know you are an addict when you drive over one hour to a new show, find a wedding instead, and return the next week to sing anyway.

when you can out talk the kj in terms of equipment needed, which versions are best, and even demonstrate how to hook it up...
oh yeah, and knowing what the different power setting is for the RF Modulator so that the color swiping comes on the screen right, and you're not bleeding out yellows to white! !

You know your an addict when you go to karaoke contests and instead of calling cerain people by their real name you call them NEWMAN (SEINFELD) or in comic book terms ARCHNEMESIS ie Superman had Lex Luger Spiderman had green goblin and the Kingpen Batman had the Joker and kkid and I well we have nevermid but we have one

Don't know if this one was mentioned yet, didn't read the other pages, but my wife recently suggested that we keep a case with our favorite karaoke discs in the car...JUST IN CASE we happen to fall into a bar that has a karaoke show going on!
God I love that woman!

or if the host has ever asked you to cover for them while they "take care of some business" in the parking lot!
