The delete button doesn't seem to work here. Can you DELETE your own posts?

I don't think you can, but you can edit it. The Mod can delete a post and you can always request them to delete a post

Paddy - don't worry about it. Your new to the forums and aren't expected to have perfect posting skills, but if you feel the need to delete something in  a post just hit the "edit " button located at the top of your post.

Thanks Babs......I saw that, and I thought I had tried that before I asked how and it didnt' work for me.

Just click on the "Edit" button, then make your changes and hit submit.  :D

There is a good reason why people  cannot delete their own post; to make sure members think before pressing the submit button.

Is That the reason why you press the Report Button on one of your post?

That is a good reason for not being able to delet posts.
