Do you think they had to pay royalties to use the theme from "I Love Lucy" on Reminiscing ? I always wondered about that.

Lena, K-Solo has a few of the LRB songs,  Reminiscing, Night Owl, Cool Change, and about 4 more.. Not a bad selection considering what they do not have in the way of certain genres..

Propped up on haunches mailing microphones, PA cabs, and all sound equipment to you Cathi.  I think it's the best solution LOL   Some of you are really lucky,  Singing comes pretty easy to you.. This is so dang difficult, It's humiliating to admit.. Thing is, I suppose I can accept that I must work within my means,  and not all are created with the same vocal timbre...

I do enjoy that site, Just wish they had more of a classic rock collection, as well as some of the more obscure stuff such as "Isn't it Time-Babies",  "Shannon-Henry Gross", etc.. Just some of the slower ballads..

Mannnnnnnnnn are you hittin' on some of my faves now!!  The Babys have always been at the top of my list and I loved Shannon so much I named one of my daughters Shannon :)  (I have both those songs if you feel so inclined lol)

One of the things I noticed listening to your song is you seem to be closing off your throat, possibly from tensing up or nerves perhaps.  Once you learn to relax a bit (breathing exercises will help) you'll loosen up which will help with your resonance and tonal quality and will also affect your control (and vice versa).  Drop me an email darlin', I think I could better explain there where I can get into it a bit deeper as well as offer a couple other suggestions.

OK,  Yep,  CONSTANT chronic tension and anxiety.. but also sinus blockage too..

I can falsetto "Shannon" quite strongly  but I can't do the rest of the song well LOL   Same with the Delfonics "Didn't I blow your mind this time"... The falsetto is OK, BUT.... the rest of the song such as "I gave my heart and soul to you babe,  Didn't I do it baby, didn't I do it baby... sounds lousy LOL

OK, Email coming up...

Steven you should NEVER feel humiliated about trying to improve on something you love doing, especially singing.  You have a good voice and I think once you learn some proper techniques and unlearn some bad habits (even pros have them) it'll be just like the proverbial light bulb going on in your head.

What I can't understand is I feel really comfortable in the falsetto range, but perhaps that's also become a liability because I'm catering to singing lazy from the head ???? and not needing to put more into it ??

If I currently knew how to improve on it, I'd share it in the Critique category, but critique isn't going to help my depth of difficulty, I actually did the best I could with what I currently have    I need technical help, I don't even know my singing register.. I assume baritone, but as I sang (most of today) I noticed I felt more comfortable singing notes I couldn't even handle earlier this morning when I first joined that site

That's OK Dani.  I appreciate the attempts. You really aren't missing much... I deliberately was very quiet anyway, difficult to hear since I didn't want to interfere with the singers.. LOL

Cherish- Association
Wichita Lineman

I really got constricted on the falsetto parts... probably because it was around 4 am.. I'm enjoying this site

Which song ?   I've incorporated that as my signature style.

Now I need help as to how I can get out've "Big Bird" voice timbre.  I need to find a means of getting a richer and deeper less "hollow" congested timbre.  I want a timbre like Billys or Nathans.. I don't want mine :(
