Yes Dani,   I was in NY every weekend,  used to live in Fairfield County, just over the line... Family in NYC as I;d mentioned, and my mom practically lives in Lincoln Center.. I've always lived in the NY metro area

Will Do.  I haven't been to the city in quite some time actually.. I REALLY wish I could afford to live in a decent section right IN the city... Musicians delight.

My parents did something interesting when I was young..  They got us into learning dictionary words by giving us a dime for every word we could throw their way assuming they didn't know the definition and spelling.

I always keep a dictionary close by.  What's bothering me is how much I'm forgetting now.. I'll also at times resort to a thesaurus <SP>,  I have a tough time recalling terms...

Such as synonyms...

Haughty, Supercillious, Pompous,  Pedantic, OY,,, I forgot already :(

You'd be surprised, you could rent a studio apartment in NYC for like $1600 a  month, it's not so bad...

I just wish MORE parents would play board games with their kids like Scrabble... There's not enough direct human interacting anymore... COmputers make poor substitutes for sitting around a monopoly board, or scrabble board

LOL Lyn,  I doubt she'll bring cheesecake

Dani, I vividly recall my life prior to the internet..  Even prior to cable.. I'd be tossing and turning with Dr Eugene Scott on the television after watching Nightline.. and there'd be NOTHING to do !  I was lonely as hell !   The computer is an amazing thing,  BUT, it's not the best babysitter for kids IMHO
