I know lots of us are partying during the holidays so I thought it might be fun to share some great new cocktail recipes! This is one of my favorites and always gets ooh and ahhs when i serve it at parties

POMEGRANITE CHRISTMAS KIR

In a martini shaker add 4 oz Pama(or any pomegranite liquer),
4 oz pomegranite or cranberry vodka
and 1/2 oz roses lime juice& shake well to mix.

Divide between 4 large (at least 8 oz) champagme flutes or martini glasses

Top each glass with 3-6 oz chilled pink champagne. ( you decide based on taste- I normally use amout 4 or 5 oz bubbly in each glass)

Garnish with frozen cranberries to keep ot cold with festive style

Girl, I was right there with ya... reading along and licking my lips...

Until I read the word "champagne"

*patooie*

I can't tolerate that stuff.

Spanish Coffee but substitute Bailey's for the Kahlua.  And skip the flame around the glass rim -- you're just burning off perfectly good Rum 151!  LOL

This sounds really good!  Now what do you mean by the term muddled?

Okay, here's my recipe. Now, bear in mind, you have to follow this one CLOSELY....

Send hubby to local market to buy 12 pack of Bud Bottles. (must be bottles... never cans)

Hold one bottle in left right, and using right hand twist off bottle cap.
(or, if you're Cletus, your teeth (tooth) will work also)

Tip up to your mouth, and eliminate the contents of the bottle within 4 chugs.

Repeat this process until all 12 bottles are empty.

Oh yeah, you'll want to burp once in between each bottle. And you may notice those burps increase in intensity the more/faster you drink each bottle.

.:*You'll really enjoy this one, I swear*:.

Kind of...mush it up...ideally, have a mortar and pestle (easy to get) and just kind of crush the ginger so the juices are released.

Pumpkin martini sounds awesome Kitty!

Charmin- substitite the champagne with smirnoff "twisted raspberry" or even ""zima" anyof those berry maly beverages will do as long as it's bubbly...Or actually sprite would work too-0 but it wouldn't have the Kick the regular one has.

Oatmeal Cookie Drink

1/2 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps
1/2 oz. Goldschlager
1/2 oz. Baileys Irish Cream

Pour schnapps into a large shot glass.
Layer the remaining ingredients on top of the schnapps.

I did some bartending and this drink was popular around holiday time. It tastes just like an oatmeal cookie. A good dessert drink.

I started a thread awhile back on Mexican Martinis and Margaritas and had hardly any comments. Looks like you are already doing better here. I guess it helps to be a young, attractive woman in threads like these. Perhaps I'll change my online gender and picture just to see what happens. Actually that sounds like a lot of fun!!!  LMAO How about Planet Billy Jean? ....'ooh ah..Billy Jean is not my lover...she's just a girl...'. I digress.

Hey, while you are all at it...how about adding in some favorite cocktail snack recipes too!

JOE that sounds YUMMY!

BIll...LMAO!!!!!!

Cocktail snack recipes? OK

If you want something that is quick and easy and looks completely "GOURMET"
Take a block of cream cheese and use dental floss to slice it in half length wise. Place half on a decorative servinf dish and top with a thich layer of Basil Pesto- put the other half of the cream cheese on top(like a sandwich) and pour a thick layer of Sundried Tomato Pesto over it. Toast 1/2 cup of pine nute lightly( to a golden color) and sprinkle over the entire top and serving plate. Serve it with triscuits or toasted pita chips on the side---YUUUMM!

Now here is another drink recipe

CARAMEL APPLETINI

in a shaker mix 1 oz apple vodka
1 oz butterscotch schnapps, and
2 oz sour apple pucker schnapps.

Pour into a martini glass and top with a splash of chilled "TWISTED" allpe smirnoff( a flavored/carbonated malt beverage)

if you like float a thin slice of granny smith apple on top!

Mmmmm....caramel appletini...my favourite...

Holiday snack thingies...well, I work for a catering company back in NY...and I will tell you...as stupid as it sounds, and as simple as it is, the thing that ALWAYS goes over best: PIGS IN A BLANKET!  Seriously!  We have baked brie en croute, some kind of yummy lobster thing, all other manner of yummy fancy stuff, and all anyone wants are the pigs in a blanket!  If you work a party as a passer, make sure you get the pigs in a blanket, 'cause that'll be gone in 2 seconds!

Hmmmm...think the teeny umbrella gives the wrong kind of festive atmosphere...anyone got a more appropriate festive drink garnish?

Ok I have one for yas...

It's called an illegal Alien...

Basically it is a shot of tomato juice in one glass and a shot of Tequila in another with some salt on your hand and a slice of lime..

lick salt, shoot tequila bite lime and shoot tomato juice...

Drink enough of them and you WILL become an illegal alien :)

Kinda like when I was in Fat Tuesdays in Cozumel they had this pole in the center of the bar that had lines drawn on it. The lines were all labeled according to the intoxication level.

The very bottom line was about 8" off the floor and it was labeled...

Dain Bramage......    LMAO

Paula, I think I could have a LOT of fun with YOU at a party!  :yum:

I'll never forget the time my brother's girlfriend and I were doing Tequila shots all night long. Things got seriously funny after awhile.
