Sharon I think next week should be able to give you that...my prob all along has been husband...trying to synch our flights back to nz...obviously we are flying in diff directions going out but wanted to be heading back home at the same time. He is nowhere near finalising his plans so if I dont get him to go with me this coming week then I shall simply go and book and pay for mine regardless.

I have NO idea what direction my life will be taking by May. I have a birthday around that time, which is going to absolutely depress the hell out of me... I'm likely to go pull a big drunk and never sober up from it.  :shock:

I don't get my vacation until June 4th (unless I can quit playing hookie from work and add up some paid sickleave, which I can pull anytime)  :D

The bluegrass festival this year got me an invite to Wintergrass in Tacoma, WA the end of Feb, and to someone's home in Calgary, Alberta the end of June. Plus, the National Fiddlers convention is the third week of June in Weiser, Idaho. My kids are begging me to take a family trip back to Disneyland in April. So many plans, so gawd dang broke....  LMAO .... anyone want to loan me some freq-flyer miles? And then someone else wanna come cover me at work during those times? Someone else wanna get me drunk, blindfold me, and put me on the plane? I'm never gonna pull all this off.  Guess I should decide what, if anything, I want to do. Bluegrass festivals come and go- the fiddling convention is every year, I guess if I get determined to choose.... I should try to hook up with you all, since that don't happen every year.

So, ummm, here's my plans:

If you see me there, you see me there. Can't plan ahead cause I'm such a live-life-by-the-moment type a gal. So, if I show up and there's no room for me, someone will just have to scoot over and share their bed;)

I'd really give anything to be able to make it- I'd love to come- I just have to be realistic.... chances are I wont be able to. But, that's not a "no", it's a "we'll see".

It's that "having to be realistic" thing that gets in the way.  It'd be fun to meet everybody, but I'm way too broke and Nashville is just too far away from here.  :(

May 22 - 25 are the target dates folks (Thurs thru Sun), gonna start looking into facilities etc.  I'm figurin' at least 30 and hopefully more

Why was I thinking this event in Tennessee was going to be May 16,17 18th? If its May 22-25 as I have seen on the forum..Robby and I can't come..our daughters dance recital is that weekend. I guess I just got the dates wrong.. sorry guys, were really looking forward to coming and meeting everyone. So I guess just count us out!

Hey Shan dayum girl I am so sorry. My shedule was such that the earliest I could get to the gathering was probably monday of that week and to have 4 days throughout the working week was unrealistic, so we thought if we shifted it back to thurs then we had 4 days that encompassed a weekend.  :crying2: I am so sorry it is no go for you

Dennis is bringing his p.a. system (he lives in Nashville)...so to recap on those confirmed to date...
Cathi (catseyeview) Benny G, Ken (Crimsontidefan), Dennis, Sharon, Rich, Gigi, Steven & Andrea...when Shan and Robby were coming they said that there were 6 in total I guess Ken or someone can confirm who is left in that group. So with myself that is 10 confirmed

Then there are the ones who have expressed interest...Russ, Pam (Mav) Redhead1 (Debbie), Charmin, Milo, Luly, etc.

To be honest with all the holdups due to my injury I dont blame anyone who feels pissed at the lack of info. For those who dont know, I jumped out of a tree on the 8th of january and strained ligaments in both knees. I have had a full leg brace on the left leg and up till last week used a walking frame to get around. I am now on crutches and seeing the physio 3 times a week. They have said it could be 10-12 weeks before I am fully fit, which gives me a month before I fly.

I am 85% confident that I will be fit enough to travel. I have made reasonable progress, but they warned me I would plateau and I think I have at the moment. I cant straighten my left leg fully or bend it fully...the right one although still sore is making a complete and rapid recovery.

So there we are, that is the state of things from my end the dates are finalised, and I am pulling out all the stops to get there fit and able to dance the night away or spend a day on my feet and disneyland or dollywood or the mall ol

To be honest its all that keeps me going cos I can now fully sympathise with anyone who makes the decision to top themselves due to chronic ongoing pain. 3 weeks has been well long enough for me

Hey John that would be great if it works out...22-25th is the definate date and Cat will get back with costs...obviously the more the cheaper
