I am purchasing 3 new units for use at parties.  In the past we have purchased JVC's.  I am currently looking at new players and I don't know much about VocoPro or RJ tech.  Are they any good?  I am looking to spend about $200-$250 per player.

Any suggestions?  Previous purchases wee through DTS Karaoke online store.  Any other sites better for player purchases?

Nicole

You might try Musiciansfriend.com. They are cheaper, i know they carry VocoPro, not sure about RJ. But i like them because they offer free shipping, and they have 45 day Money Back. So i would check them out.

Yes, musiciansfriend is the perfect place and the only place I ever seem to go unless I happen to find it cheaper on Ebay, but Vocopro I believe is to be pretty good.  I haven't heard of RJ, but I use the RSQ karaoke player and is has been wonderful!!!  Hope this helps!!

Unless it's for home use only, I wouldn't use either personally.

Lonnie,
I guess you use a player and not a computer system? What do you think is best for heavy use in a club. I need to buy something.

Thanks,
Phil

I also spend a lot of money with muisicansfriend as well as guitarcenter and Sam Ash, but if you want to buy karaoke equipment or cdgs, to me, the best place is doowop because they have the cheepest prices and they always ship anything you buy, within the U.S. free, even if all you buy is one single disc.

Actually I use both, but if I were to go strictly player again, I would seriously search ebay for good JVC single/triple tray models or the Pioneer dual trays & Laser (I still use laser discs) player combos.

I completely agree with Lonman.  In addition, the RJ Techs have a rep in my area for crapping out quickly- especially the video card.

I was looking at the Vocopro CDG8800 dual tray anyone have any thoughts on this player? I have a 10 year old Vocopro CDG3000 that Ive drug around and it still works great but would really like a Dual tray player for d/j as well.
