So far, All I have is Chartbusters E 1-7 (-6). I plan to get E6 & E8 soon to complete the series. I'm just not sure what direction to go now. I thinking on the foundations and bricks but wanted to ask here before spending the 1k+. I only have 2700 songs and know I'm a little weak on titles. After I get my basic libarary finished, how much should I spend monthly and what services should I use?

Well with the Essentials you have a core selection.  YOu don't want to start wasting money by buying duplicate titles which the Foundations would.  I'd start going off of customer requests & buying what they want trying to avoid getting discs with duplicate songs - a good selection doesn't have to be huge, just what people want to sing!

I think you have a good start there. You might want to check out ebay to see if any KJs are selling their old libraries. That might help you save some money.

I wouldn't invest in a monthly service. You will find most of the music you won't use. The only new songs I buy now are songs that have been requested a lot.

We are taking requests for new songs now. That is the only way I get new stuff now. Our books are sort of getting dilapidated now so when we get stocked up again we will make new books for this year UGH!!!

You might pick up the SuperCore collection.  Its up to around 50 discs now, and available well under  $300.  Though there are some dupes in the collection, it will give you up to date titles of good quality, and very diversified.  It'll add around a thousand songs, not including dupes.

I would also suggest adding other small sets.  Music Maestro MMDWC ( Doo Op Club), 5 discs- if you can still find it. MM is out of business.  All Hits  ( the best version of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light out there, as well as White Rabbit and Wonderful World) is a worthwhile collection as well.

Just thought I'd throw my :2cents:  out here.
The MM Doo Wop 5 disc set I got from eBay for $18.00 including s/h and insurance. They're still available. Also got the 11 disc Dangerous collection for $20 and change, also with s/h and insurance included in the final price. Plus, the ALL HITS 26 disc pack is still available. Lots of good stuff available at a really cost conscious perspective. Like they say, "You can get  IT  on eBay"!!
