Hi guys!
Anyone out there have experience with scdg ripping program ROXBOX? I bought this to pull down my scdgs to my external and it works good as long as there is not background lyrics on the disks but if it does (like the panorama series) I cant take out the demonstration  singer . I've tried the remove vocal feature and still nothing. If it matters I'm using pcdjkj (as a stand alone)as my actual player. Also do you guys have a preference of regular cdg rippers that would be compatible with pcdjkj?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

:handshake: Thanks for the welcome and the info. The scdg ripper workd great if you wanna check it out. You can go to www.kjamp.com or just google roxbox. the player is not my choice of animals but for its main function its nice. What do you host with? I'm new to the laptop scene but i'm digging the pcdjkj so far. Oh by the way does audio grabber pull cdgs down into mcg and mp3 like the bin file format or are they larger files? Im not concerned with burning them so much as just playing them.

MCG is a format used by cavs.  Audiograbber will convert songs into any AUdio+G format as long as you have the encoder for it but I am not aware of it working with MCG+mp3 format.

Just curious but when "grabbing " for karaoke do I grab as mp3+ compressed or does it make a huge difference?

sounds like u have grabbed the prog. One thing u will need is the lame codec, otherwise the files you rip will be tiny and poor quality.
as to your ? I hope someone else can answer cos I am lying on my bed with lappy and audiograbber is on my other puter...its not that I am lazy, but have damaged the ligaments in both knees and need a walking frame and a brace on to get mobile. so plse excuse me

Scorpio, it appears to me that your THM SCDG disc has the songs in a multiplex format.  This means that the vocal demo track is recorded on ONE channel of your music.  To play this without the vocal track you have to have a player that can replicate one channel (the one without the lead vocal) as BOTH channels thus "eliminating" the vocal.  The CAVS 203G can do this.  This is what the LEFT and RIGHT multiplex buttons do on many CDG players.  PCDJKJ probably has the ability to select L or R multiplex.  You SHOULD be able to do a Left or Right channel vocal remove to get rid of the lead vocal.

Tricerasoft has a program called Key Changer 1.0 that will allow you to take multiplex MP3s and convert them to non-multiplex MP3s.  A KJ friend of mine did that with his Tropical Zone Spanish SCDG which is multiplex.  No more lead vocals to switch off!

Your SCDG disc is comprised of batch files made up of songs originally in a MP3+MCG format.  All Roxbox does is "unbatch" your SCDG batch files into individual MP3+MCG files.

Audiograbber WILL NOT unbatch a SCDG.  I know of only two programs that will do it - Roxbox and CDGFix.

Just sent the audio output from your player to 2 mono inputs in your mixer. Mute the channel with vocal.

AND you have to have your mp3 settings pointing to the LAME_ENC.dll file after copying that file to the Audiograbber folder.

I wouldn't rip to anything lower than 192kbps personally. I used to, but now that space isn't such a premium with me, I'd rather have the better quality of the 192 than the standard of 128.
