I've seen the VGA converters that go from VGA to S-Video. But I have a different problem.

I have VGA and S-Video out on my laptop. However, they do NOT work simultaneously.

I want to use an external monitor for the singer AND a TV for the audience. So, I need to find a converter that is VGA to VGA AND S-Video. My other option is to use a TV for the singer monitor, which I hate lugging. I already have a 15" LCD that I can use and flat TVs are kinda expensive.

Does such converter exist?

The Svideo should work with the VGA out.  You have to set your video properties to extended desktop.  Plus make sure that the Svideo is connected to the source then reboot.  It should then detect the tv, otheriwise you'll need to set it manually.

Hello i would like to add a question to this topic ,,when i go to extended desktop all i see on my 13" tv is my desktop with no icon, no pointer but when i start my karaoke program (wincdg) i see it on my laptop but not on my 13"tv ,,now can someone please help me

Go to display in control panel and look for extended desk top.  Activate the second monitor.

It sounds like it is set up properlym you just need to drag the screen with the lyrics over to to the tv!  Once over there you can either right click & maximize or double click & it should auto maximize.
