I would like a home based karaoke system that does the following.  

I would like to record my songs.
I would like to remove vocals from cds and or mp3/s.  (I have heard that is hard if not impossible to do...so close is good for now if even possible).
Change key on songs.
Adjust microphone volume independently of song volume.

Right now I have songs loaded on an external hard drive hooked to my pc. I play them with sax and dotty's on my pc.  I use a microphone hooked into an amplifier plugged into the wall.  This all works fine, but I want to record my songs and also try to remove vocals on stuff!!

I have looked at acekaraoke and some other sites but am confused as to what I need.  I want simple and just for personal home use.

I've used this for live recording of karaoke singers and it works great and very easy to use. Just plug into your output from your amp and hit record. It records onto and USB external device.
