:O  Another fine example of "support" (or insults) from a person with a non-existent business for non-existent shows.
What would we do  :dontknow: without your sage advice :headscratch: .

IT'S IRRELAVANT WHAT YOU THINK IS THE BEST VERSION,  IT ALL LIES WITH WHAT THE SINGER PREFERS, THIS IS WHY YOU MUST BUY DIFFERENT BRANDS OF KARAKOE, AND BEING THAT I SING MYSELF I DO KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

Being a singer as well, I think it's a joke when I walk into a karaoke bar & look at their books & see multiple versions of the same songs, I just want to know if they have a song or not...I typically will bring in my own discs though anyway.
Trying to amp up the size of your book by listing everything?  I know you really have a great choice at picking the best version of The Rose out of the 30 versions I have listed.  LMAO

You are exactly right about the "Making my book look bigger" thing.  They write down every possible listing in every possible way to make it look like something it's not.  If you want a bigger book, buy the best versions of more one of a kind songs, not more dupliactes.

In that respect I have also seen some list duets under both peoples names...I can actually see this as being helpful such as Sheryl Crow & Kid Rock or Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow (even though it is a Kid Rock album so technically he should be first).  This is nice, but also they are still counted in the overall count of their 'big' songbook even though it's the same song just put in 2 different artists.

I try to limit the number of pages so i don't have to spend money on bigger binders.  The bigger the binder the more it costs.  My newest books were over $10 each, that's just the binder.

I strongly disagree that hosts need to spend money to purposely purchase duplicates just to have a multiple to choose from.  This is a complete waste of money.

Couldn't agree with you more on this one Lonman...  The only reasonable excuse for a KJ to outlay more money for a duplicate track would be to upgrade to a better quality/ better arrangement, after which the less desirable version can be removed from the book.  I've lost count of the number of times I've been confronted with a book that has multiple listings of a song title by a particular artist (or worse, no artist listed which can lead to selecting the wrong song entirely) with no tangible way of knowing the manufacturer.  Far better to have one listing per song/artist being the KJ's choice.

If the singing customer spends their money on buying the version of their choice, that has got to be a bonus for the KJ.  For one thing, the KJ doesn't have to outlay the cost of buying more CDGs.  The KJ also gets to hear some versions that he/she might not otherwise get to hear.  And if enough other singers, on hearing these other versions decide they prefer them over the one the KJ has, then the KJ has a pretty good idea which version should be in the book, without going for hit-and miss trial and error.

I crack up every time someone asks whiner to post his show information, where he or she is located... and they ignore it.

BigDog, or one of his copycats for certain!

As I said, I stopped taking their posts as verifiable or trustworthy advice, and I encourage everyone to stop rising to their baiting posts. They talk like they know what they're doing... but refuse to PROVE it.

Or even worse CUSTOM numbering systems with no manufacturer denotation 115-05 or even worse yet NO numbers at all.  What is the point in listing duplicate titles with absolutely no way to determine the manu?

I've always looked at this in the same perspective.  Gives me a chance to hear the disc quality, gives others a chance to let me know that they might want that song as well for me to purchase - this has happened on several occasions.
