For the 3rd year in a row the phatrat and I are going anti valentine.  Wishing people a Happy VD and going to Love Stinks Karaoke tonight.  We have been doing this with a local KJ here for the last 3 years.  Everyone wears black and no love songs are allowed to be sung.  This year they are adding Beer Pong!!  I am so excited.. We are going to have some VD fun!!!

What is everyone else doing??

Thankfully, I've never had VD, but for those who have, get to your doctor fast and get treated. LMAO  LOL  :drums:

Well....I'm single this year for the first time in awhile...not that I ever did much for V-Day when I was in a relationship, but...blech.  Luckily, a local movie theatre here was screening the Princess Bride - absolutely my FAVOURITE movie.  So, me and my best friend - also single - went to see it.  SO cool to see it in a theatre with a bunch of other people who could recite lines...*laugh*  Man I love that movie....

I hear Penicillin works pretty well.  Fortunately I've never had to find out!

Hey Kitty, I bought that DVD recently...  I stumbled upon the book a few years ago and couldn't put it down!  Personally, I think the book was way better than the movie!

LMAO  Murrlyn....

I was gonna say- if anyone here is dealing with VD, hopefully they are on medication:)

As to the intended question- I went to Freddy's with hubby to help pick him out new shoes, then went to Subway for dinner, then came home and watched tv until I fell asleep on the couch. (my usual bad habit)

But I got some chocolates, and a yellow rose plant for my garden, and a cute teddy bear with angels wings (does he think I'm an "angel"?... I doubt it).... and Odie actually DID come to my work and bring me chocolate and a yellow rose.  :dancin:

We had a good night together!  We had dinner at my favorite Mexican eatery. Great chicken mole enchiladas and chicken quesadillas!   :oh yeah:   Then we went out and listened to some music and had some wine.  There was also the big box of chocolate covered cherries and macadamia nuts.  Love those!!  I'm hittin' the gym today though!  LOL

Murrlyn -

Oh, I love the book.  But I think it's one of the best book to screen adaptations (helps that the books author wrote the screenplay).   Not to mention some of the most fabulously staged swordplay on film EVER, and...*sigh* a young Cary Elwes is just...yeah....*drool*

It seems Melinda is the only one who got the full VD treatment.......(that didn't sound right, did it?)

The single gal(operakitty) mighta scored if it wasn't for that dang blasted cat of hers. She is awfully cute, no, she is downright goodlookin, so it must be the cat.

Why is it so many of the best lookin gals here have cats? Don't they know real men hate cats? LMAO

I am SO glad VD and Xmass is over....Now I can start dating single women again.

I stopped 'investing' in single women last year......I let someone else buy them Xmass and VD then ease in after they break up....The worst that can happen then is a birthday.

The neat thing about dating married women is they can't show up  at home with gifts or the hubby gets courious......so all they expect is a good time. LMAO

What about Presidents Day Dinner?

And the Easter basket & diamond ring?

And the new car to celebrate the coming of Spring?

And St Patty's day night on the town, with all inclusive motel & dinner/shopping package?

And heck, my birthday is right around the corner....

Lol, Keith, your snout is showing again;)

Sharon, that does sound like tons of fun. I specifically don't go to karaoke on valentines day cause I would get bored to tears listening to mushy love songs all night long. But *Love Stinks karaoke night*... I can think of lots of fun songs that would apply and make for a good night of karaoke.

Charm, if you didn't experience loss of consciousness(pass out), then at best it was only as good as the worst I ever had. LMAO Hey, I admit the worst I ever had brought tears to my eyes, but the rest was only better.

Dizzy feeling? Sure.

Hyperventilating? Sure.

Passing out? Keith,  you need to quit sleeping with drunk women.  LMAO

I just love Freddy's.  That is one of the places I miss the most!!!

The songs I sang last night:
I hate myself for loving you - Joan Jett
You oughta know - Alanis Morrisette
Paranoid - Ozzy Osborne

Phat rat sang:
She got the gold mine and I got the shaft - Jerry Reed
Jesse's girl - Rick Springfield
I'm gonna miss her - Brad paisley

It was a really good time.  The KJ gave all the women that sang a Green Onion and the men got cloves of Garlic...LOL  He said it was because  "Love Stinks"  LOL

No one was allowed to sing any love songs. And everyone wore black too.   It was great, people got really creative.
