I'm out here working in Cali on a 3 month gig; of course I brought my Karaoke Setup with me and have been having parties every 2 weeks.  Lots of people are now singing who never thought they would ever be able to in front of people!  Sweet.  My buddy's wife was coming to town for a visit and they had had an experience somewhat like the story told in Rupert Holmes' "Pina Colada Song" about 8 years ago when they got back together.  So I got the song for him and he sang it to his wife.  She was totally bowled over that he would even get up and sing, let alone sing a song to her that meant something.  Needless to say, his wife  :doctor:  loved it and everyone at the party was aswoon.  Karaoke will have that effect!  :hi5:

Families quit singing together.  There is a tradtiton here when a kid reaches 16 they hire a kj for a birthday party. The families with a karaoke machine are closer and more adjusted.

Many couples have become engaged at a karaoke bar but I have never seen a couple arguing or get divorced at karaoke. I think that is why many people who dont sing goes to the karaoke bars. Make karaoke not war!!!!!!
