Andropause-
There's Duct AND Duck tape on the market btw...
Duck of course has a picture of a white duck on the packaging, not sure if it's generic Duct tape with all the same hot and cold handling capabilities tho... Dunno.
When I do projects outdoors or when I patch anything in the fridge or freezer I use Duct tape. I trust that stuff. Duck is less expensive up here but besides appearing to be the same stuff, I haven't a clue about the physical properties it's designed for.

I haven't used masking tape in ages, not sure why. Perhaps because I haven't been moving boxes needing a tape that isn't that durable but good for temporary sealing purposes. Usually when I store something it's in storage for a long time so I use a more sturdy packaging tape... (For stuff such as 45 RPM records, rock collections, body parts, etc)
Btw, If anybody else decides to sell their bling on Ebay, don't surround it with those styrofoam peanuts. Reason being, It appears the buyer can throw the bling out thinking it's packaging, and file a claim against you stating you never sent the item out
