H there, I recently burned a CD+G using the latest version of Power CD+G burner after downloading some songs from TriceraSoft. Everything went smooth and the disc plays fine in my CAVS 203 and my dads generic machine as well. However, we took the disc to 2 local bars and thier machines were getting read errors and unable to play it. Both of the machines were JVC. Then we went to a third bar were the KJ was using a Pioneer machine and it worked perfectly. Is there a way of burning these discs to make them more compatible with all machines? Or perhaps is there a preferred disc brand or burner program to use?

Some machines are little more prone to errors than others.  I run both Pioneer & JVC & my Pioneer tends to read burns much better than my JVC does, it usually will give graphic glitches with burned discs.
The media does have some to do with it & if you want a really good media that will be read by most-all machines, Mitsui Gold discs I would highly recommend.  They are a little pricier than a standard off the shelf brand but well worth it if you want good & lasting discs.  I've had some in use since 94 & have never had a glitch on them yet.

What speed did you burn at? I use PowerKaraoke at 4x and have zero troubles. JVC, Pioneer, CAVS, and RSQ have all played them.

No, it is not, since I use it. You can do 1,2,4, and 8x at least. Perhaps you need to upgrade your version.

Im using version 1.6.2, the latest version of Power CD+G Burner and its only giving me the option of only 4 burning speeds: 10X, 16X, 20X, 24X

ok I went into settings and checked use internal burn engine, now i have the slower burn options. I had it set at "use CDRDAO burn engine" could this be the problem?

Hmm. It must vary from drive to drive. I get 1x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, and 57x.

I would PM the powerkaraoke user here or contact their support by email.

You'd have to get powerkaraoke to tell you that -- the only way I know to find out is to try. But I bet it could help.
