Stop bxtching so much, if the industry has got you as cynical as is portrayed here, get out.  You'll be happier - trust me.  Seriously, business is business.  Find a niche, make it work, or find another line of work.  Unethical behavior is part of the American (capitalistic) business practice.  I can't think of one line of business where someone didn't try to gain an unfair advantage.  Is it right?  No, but that's life.  Survival of the fittest.  Some people make it work, some people (@$%&#!) about why they can't keep up.

Some are a combination of any or all of those things, on any given day. KJ's and Karaoke Singers can have bad days too.  For myself, one of the best breaks I’ve had is stumbling onto this forum.  Now I have a place to go if I need advice on karaoke, or just need a lift and a chuckle.    How about a ‘blanket’ apology to all the good people that you so rudely lumped together. Am I aloud to complain in a "Stop Complaining" thread?

I don't think you are allowed to complain out-loud in a thread about "stop complaining" aloud!  LMAO

I do however agree with Croakdog's statement that our capitalistic society is based on competition. If ya can't hang then drop out. If ya gotta complain just to complain, go to the Sears Complaint Dept at a mall near you!

I realize that when some people get burnt, they often have reason to get angry.  You all have enough worldly experience to know what I mean and fill in your own blanks to fit such a scenario.

The situation becomes a "problem" when the anger is directed at the "whole world", particularly when it is directed at those who are willing to enter into a dialogue in order to be helpful.  It's also uncomfortable when a person you are trying to help, basically, let's you know that they are the true professional and that you are not professional enough to be of any assistance to them.

As most human beings do, after being attacked, many here have struck back. So, the injured party continues along with their anger, justified in their belief that they have the right to be angry, because they are being attacked (by the very people whom they have initiated attacks against).

And please don't construe these comments to be that I am complaining aloud, or complaining at all.  These are just observations to explain why some people are complaining!   Or....maybe not?

yes but darlin your capitalistic society isnt mine and if I have a criticism about the americans it is this...THE WORLD DOES NOT BEGIN AND END WITH YOU!!! sorry to have to shout it to the roof tops but its true. You are now part of a global village and you have to get over yourselves. What is your capitalistic society and is acceptable to you is not necessarily the norm everywhere...and sorry to have to break it to y'all but there are other places that matter

If I read this part of CroakDog's comment correctly --- "American (capitalistic)" ------by using the parenthesis () after "American" CroakDog was acknowledging that the business system in place in America is capitalism.  And capitalism is the system upon which the world's economy thrives.  What system do you use in NZ?

As for me, and those with whom I associate, we don't have time to sit around talking about our self-importance, or our status in the global community.  Frankly, as Bogey said, "I don't give a daxxm"

Lastly,  I don't remember any conversation other than with my wife's family (her brother recently married a girl from Christchurch, New Zealand) or in discussions involving "Harry Potter", in which any of us Yanks used the NZ word.  Get over it yourself, dahling.  Most people don't even know where NZ is!!!  In short, I find the following totally offensive!!!!

Wanna invite me over Vicki-my-luv and show me your ways darlin'? I've never been outside my capitalistic world before and NZ sounds like a nearby vacation for me.   Put me up?    Cook for me?
