Sound Choice, best overall...but there are clunkers!
Top Hits Monthly, I would say is better than average, one thing I dislike about them is the tend to be heavy on the backup singers...MrD

The worst for the sound quality is probably Sound Choice, they have some excellent backing but are only for karaoke uses, they offer a poor mastering which doesn't allow to position the vocals properly in the mix.  Now folks, don't get me wrong here, SC is probably the best choice to build yourself a karaoke collection but not for studio recording, that's all!!

I don't think they were asking for recording purposes, however if you have the right equipment/programs, you can make the SC discs sound just as good as any other backiong track if not better IMO!

Like I said, SC is probably the best option for karaoke and yes, using a good equipment it must sound very good, BUT, my comment was towards the poor mastering; if you wish to use their tracks and record in multitrack, you'll have a hard time coming up with a great finish mix, their sound is way too compressed and leaves no room to blend a vocal track.  Chartbuster & Zoom both offers a better mastering or less compressed sound if you wish, this way, it's much easier to blend the vocal track...  My guess is that SC is doing this on purpose so we don't use their tracks for recording or they just like cutting corners on the finish product.

Again I disagree, when I was reording my singers in the studio, the finished project was very good sounding & the majority of the tracks we used were SC.  Now I do agree the Chartbuster has a more natural sound, I think Zoom is good as well but again, with the right equipment in the recording area, you can still yeild a very good qualitry recording from SC discs is what I was going toward.
