Wow, BlueRose, let me know if you ever come out to visit... cause I'm literally right aroud the corner from all of them. We could hook up for some karaoke. :dancin: :dancin: O.City is 10 miles up the road, Tualatin about 15 if I head in a different direction. I used to work in West Salem, and live in South Salem (near Turner, if you recall where that is) Salem's about 25 minutes south of me.
Me and Odie are both in Canby. (EDIT, I see you know that already) :drunk:
You should recognize all of those pics- Oregon City, Deschutes River... should all seem familiar to ya:)
About 6 years ago, I was on my way (literally) packing and moving to Prineville. I LOVE it there, but right before we were heading out, a job offer made us stay put. Guess it was meant to be. My kids are all so settled here now, we'll most likely never leave. I, like you, would not want to move to where I wouldn't be able to be around my kids and grandkids- family is the most important thing to me. Other than a brother in Virginia, and another in Texas, my whole family is here. (and I'm working on those two) LOL
The rain I guess gets to some... but you know, it does keep it gorgeous and green here. (and I look really cute with my hair drippin' wet anyhow) Lol!!
Vicki- If you like lots of trees and rivers, you'd LOVE the Willamette Valley:)

Oh... PLEASE move back and take over the karaoke at the Spinning Wheel. I get so tired of people who can't run a system decently!!
(but yes, we ended our karaoke night there last night... they stay open the latest)

Just beautiful Vicki. I would be embarrased for you to see what it looks like where we live. Coastal Texas is flat windy and boring. Even the beaches in our area suck. We have spent a lot of time vacationing in the mountains but its a 1000 mile drive to where we go.

That's a very kind offer Vicki, thankyou. Brenda was quite blown away by the NZ scenery and how green it was... I'm looking forward to the reaction when she gets to the Queenstown/Milford Sound area!
