Karaoke Forums

I had been gone from this forum since last spring.  At first, it was great being back, I even got DBK1009 to return.

Once again, I need a hiatus.  I can't put up with so many threads being hijacked by an acknowleged demogogue,  And I can't tolerate the overbearing, know-it-all attitude about everything karaoke that he displays.  He diminishes the value of participating and makes it a task rather than enjoyable.  

SO HERE IS YOUR VERY OWN THREAD TO HIJACK.  And please start with the following subjects:
 1)  No where is it written that a night of entertainment at a place that advertises karaoke must not digress one iota from playing karaoke songs
 2)  No where in the bible, the US Constitution or in Hammurabi's code does it state that one would be diminishing ones principles by offering entertainment other than karaoke at a "karaoke show"
 3)  No where has it been determined that a karaoke host that can sing all night is a better host than one who cannot sing a note
 4)  There are karaoke hosts on this forum who are very experienced and quite good.  It may prove beneficial to spend more time absorbing what they have to say rather than demeaning, haranguing, lecturing, ranting, raving, bloviating, and preaching to others

Don't you think, you take this subject a little bit too serious? (Regarding your last posting about this matter?) Like I said, I'm with you, but why don't you just overlook those postings and ignore them? That's what I do and it works just fine for me. =)

Just a few weeks ago, I had a guy get po'd at me, because I was setting up to do karaoke, when the game is coming on at 10:45pm.  Even though, it was on 3 other tv's in bar...he's was tinkled and I had to hear, "I hate karaoke".  What a great way to start the night off.....MrD

I have a way of dealing with posts when they degenerate into negativity: Scroll Down. Kinda like changing the channel on the radio when a crappy song comes on, looking for a better song.

I can spend my time and energy on other things than reading every single post on here and getting worked up about some of them. I hope you will stay ericlater.

Hey, I'm from Canada, eh, and I went to a fight once, eh, and a hockey game broke out.... Ya hosers. (Okay, Murrlyn, don't attack me ... I am Canadian too!)

When are they going to stop the violence in hockey.  If a football player or baseball player were to do the things hockey players do with throwing punches, fighting etc, there would be penalties up the ying yang.   Personal fouls and game ejections.   Why is it tolerated in hockey?    I see absolutely no reason for it.

Another thing about it is, it's not setting a good sportmanship example for the children that are allowed to watch it.   I wouldn't let any kid under 18 watch a hockey game.    I want my kid to learn respect and sportsmanship.  Not how to be a trouble making cry baby everytime he plays a game and things don't go his way.

Hey all you PNWers, hasn't the weather been GREAT lately? No really! Think about it. The sun comes out almost every day, totally blue sky at least a few times last coupla months, and it only rains like once or twice a week. I can't even remember the last time it rained for a week straight!

Sung a pleasant duet tonight at karaoke with the cute KJ. She didn't ask WHY Arizona... we were just bored, (no, she's not on the board). Did Atlantic Starr Always... kinda challenging... nailed it!   Well... coupla rough spots, but mostly the harmony was wowsers!  :oh yeah:

Hahahah, I knew it.  Sw just couldn't stay away for long....he tried, but got sucked in to interject his 'superior' opinion on the 'crap' subject at hand!  I love it!
