I have booked a communion party as a private event. This will be mostly karaoke with some DJ, which is normally what I do best-BUT:

On the karaoke side I have the 100+ adults and older kids covered. However, I need karaoke for the 2nd and 3rd graders, of which there will be about 20-25.

"kid's" music is too young, and "teen" can be a bit risque' for 7,8,and nine year olds. I am desperate for Artists or Titles that are "cool" enough for this age group, yet safe to sing. Hannah Montana songs come to mind, but there are only 2 or 3 out on karaoke, Help! PLEEEEAAASE?

I think there are a few Disney High School Musical disks out that are popular with this age group or a little older.

I was at a karaoke event at my church this weekend and some of the kids sang songs from "High School Musical".

I saw an entire Hannah Montana disc on one of the karaoke sites.

You will be surprised those kids will sing Beach Boy songs and know all the words.

yup disney and high school musical, over here Abba is loved by younguns as well probably due to Priscilla queen of the dessert...hell last time I did a gig like that was for the girl guides and brownies...it was the most hideous night, they started screaming as the door opened and didnt stop screaming all nite. Every time someone someone got on stage to sing they rushed to the front of the stage and screamed louder.
I stuffed toilet paper into my ears. It was so loud I felt physcally ill.

My daughter is in second grade.  Definitely High School Musical 1 & 2 (separate disks), Hannah Montana, Shrek Karaoke Party, plus you can pick up disks of children's standards and children's Christian Standards.  All the Disney stuff including Hannah Montana is on Disney Karaoke.

Most kids also like a lot of the stuff that their parents listen to around them.  In my case, that would be 50s-80s pop, rock, and R&B  and Contemporary Christian pop.

My daughter also enjoys singing songs from Grease, but that would probably be a bit much for some parents.

Kids are so cute when they sing!  My son has a nice voice, but he's not really big on singing in public except for choral singing.  I was the same way at his age (10).

I was at one place where they had a pool and karaoke.  That was so much fun!  Anyway, there was a birthday party there, about 12 little girls, and they all got up and sang a song which, I think, is by Sugarland, and I believe the title is "Baby Girl" or "Love, Your Baby Girl".  They did a great job and they obviously had fun singing!  I think some of 'em sang other songs also, but I don't remember what.
