Over the weekend I had a wedding gig for a couple in San Francisco. It was a combination DJ/KJ gig so I had to haul my whole lighting gear with me, so my friend came over to help out. He took these pictures.

We had over 100 guests at the American Swedish Hall, which had two halls upstairs. The smaller one was used for the wedding and the large hall you see here was for dinner and dancing. The biggest problem was that they didn't have an elevator. We had haul all the equipment, including my rack which weighs over 150lbs, up the stairs. Coming down wasn't as bad.

A couple of shots of the stage, from the dance floor.

This is from singer's point of view, with my LCD screen for lyrics and Fender monitor speaker for singers.

And the wide shot of the hall.

Finally, me at the computer running the dance music.

The crowd was fantastic, they filled the dance floor most of the time. We had a blast and got paid well for the gig.

Very nice pics. It isn't always easy to make a bunch of wires look great and you did! Lights are very effective as well.

Thanks all. It was a blast for myself. The hardest part was managing the crowd expectation. When we were doing Karaoke, people wanted to dance and came up to ask for some requests. When we had a floor full of people dancing, people were coming up to ask when they will be singing.

Either way, it was a hit. I had 7-8 singers standing by to sing at breaks, had room full of dancers when we were dancing. I tried to slip in a couple of requests but we lost the crowd dancing, so I went back to the old standby, disco and soul and had people back on the dance floor in no time.
