Karaoke Forums

Are there any karaoke companies that are especially open to requests for songs that have not yet been made into karaoke songs?  I've had a number of requests for "Hang" by Matchbox 20 and "Tell Her This" by Del Amitri, but I have been completely unable to locate a karaoke version of either song.  I would be more than willing to purchase an entire disc for either song, but I don't know whom to contact to try and get one made.  Any suggestions?

There are some karaoke companies that take karaoke song requests.   But...first they have to aquire $$$$$$ the rights to the song.  If they don't think they are going to recoup the investment money they will pass on it.  So they take requests but that doesn't mean much.

The laws in england are a bit different in the USA, and prior aproval of the songwriter is not required to make a Karaoke version legally there.


For that reason many karaoke songs that are on the rare side can be obtained from English companies.

On the other hand to make a legal karaoke version in the usa cant be done for less than $2000 or so per song to the publisher, meaning that unless one has a production line to sell thousands of copies it is not practical.

Many of the smaller more obscure English Karaoke companies sell thier songs throught the Select A track download site.

Of course the Brits tend to have different music tastes so a lot of obscure songs are not obtainable there.

Ive always had great success when looking for rare songs with www.singsongsmusic.com they have a great liabrary of songs and have never had any problems with the quality.
