Not sure if this will work in your situation but why not convert the S-video signal to a more cost efficient cable or wire. Radio shack does sell S-video to rca or composit type convertors. I assume the S-video source is your pc or laptop, connect the S-video cable to the adapter / convertor and use standard phono plugs and splitters to send the signal to all the monitors you wish.
Using S-video connections and splitters seems way to expensive to me.
I may be possible to connect the S-video cable to one monitor and "daisy chain" the signal to the other monitor via standard cables, that is if any of your monitors has a Video Out connector.

The S-video to phono plug convertor is a small device, similar to any other type of plug adaptor. Since Radio Shack seems so popular here I'll post the link, the adaptor is $14.95 I'm sure you can save a lot of money using the standard video wiring.
