Does this work ?  I'm confused again.

I can't hear it... Seems to work for me, but so did my falsetto in the past, and now I can hear that is clearly dog-poop... Tell me the truth.. Does this float your boat ?

or take two ?

I decided to try to sing more like Billy.  Problem is I don't have a timbre yet.. But I don't let that stuff stop me from trying..

Steven, your version of You Are My Lady is a good one! From a recording standpoint, I can hear your vocal clearly and the effects aren't over bearing and do suit the song. You're singing it an octave lower and it sounds a bit like Randy Newman might have done it. It's really quite cool! :)

I agree with Odie. Your vocal timbre is coming in nicely. Your voice is getting to be good and rich. I'm not saying you don't suck, and not saying that you do; but you are improving by leaps and bounds. :hi5:

Well, As I stated over on another site Chuck, I SUCK !   LOL

That being said, I've found a microphone I believe to be better suited for my type voice (whatever that might be)

BTW... Thank you Odie, and Chuck for listening !

My last couple of subs today are probably much better ( barring the R&B wannabe stuff) LOLOL !

I think the secret here is I found somewhat of a "nose cancelling" microphone.  Not to be mistaken for noise cancelling, but it appears that this high impedance microphone works better with clogged sinuses !

ie..This is my softest song of about the last 9 or-so in the past 16 hours... Others I belt (such as the Elton John retries)

Kappy my opinion of baby blue is that you have strayed off the basic track of thinking about the lyrics you are singing...the technical improvement is there but you are simply paying lipservice instead of telling a story.

The letter is better cos less emotion is needed for the faster paced delivery.

True Vicki,  I'm having a tough time focusing on technical areas such as staying somewhat in tune, even phrasing when I focus too much on the story.  What was happening was that I found myself getting overwhelmed, and I was going out've key, and royally botching the musical aspects when I was focusing on the story, it's tough for me to absorb the whole picture yet, I get overwhelmed, I'm currently unable to do it all simultaneously yet especially with the VERY tough melodic songs (where staying on melody is a struggle enough for me).. My first concern is staying in tune, and technical stuff... Bad FInger is too tough for me to try to see the whole picture YET..  Here's something where I stayed more to the story, and as you can see, even listened to the lyrics.. HAHAHA, however my timbre was awful IMHO here..

What I'm finding is that I'm forced to currently make a trade-off someplace or something suffers otherwise.

many of James Taylor melodies are damned difficult to stay in tune to Kappy, it wasnt the fault of emoting that caused that...its just a bloody hard song to stay in tune to

True Vicki,  Bad Finger is TOUGH though !  As much as I love that group, I had to give 100% just to stay in tune,  funny thing is, I never would've thought that to be the case prior to trying them... JT... Is tough, especially the slow songs (and most are slow)...LOL

Thanks loads, Like always-  MUCH appreciated, I'm just singing, and singing, and singing, and eventually when and if I grow up, I might learn how !  Heck, I try hard enough... Still looking for a local coach, but I'm out've the loop in this area unfortunately...

Btw... "Baby Blue" will be redone feeling and hearing the lyrics next time.  I agree, it's"dead" sounding although being sung, it is lacking.. What I'm waiting for is a burst of energy to try this again, it will take ALL I can give it..  and the right time !

kewl :) I can identify with the energy thing...since I injured myself its almost like I have partial paralysis...first from the waist down everything seemed leaden and like it didnt belong to me...now its just from the knees down, so hopefully in another 4 months I will be back to normal...well that is my theory...if I can ever get this freakin operation

I pushed it again,  this isn't transposed from the original key.. The ugly facial expression is how I have to contort my mouth to hit the high register.. I have another take with less reverb up..

I need to redo this, WAY too much reverb.  This is the problem with headphones. Assuming they aren't the greatest headphones they don't genuinely give you the depth and rate of reverberation that can be heard when you hear the song on a regular louder stereo system... Oh well... WAY too much FX on this..

I could really use Lonmans opinion on how I should mix these past two songs but I don't want to bother him.  I'm using some delay that's about it.. (I think)..  I can't be setting my mixer optimally for my weird voice tho.

On these songs PPL does use delay/ echoverb.

The next song is the song this one seques into.  You know it.

OK, Restless Heart is out've my range, and out've my ability realm, so here it is !

If I cut back on the reverberation abit, and had a means of transposing this song down a step, might it work ?

(removed for redo)

=====================================================

added after redo
