(In sooth) It is interesting that a song like Scarborough Fair, which is centuries old, could become very popular once again as Simon and Garfunkel proved.  Though it is not sung too often in karaoke, it could possibly experience a surge in karaoke popularity decades or centuries hence, such is the nature of good music.

I just ordered Pantera and Iron Maiden from a company in Finland...anxiously awaiting those..Our room is more likely to be singing that kind of stuff than Leona Lewis - and btw, I sure don't get how she is all that and a big of chips right now - she has a pretty common-sounding voice. She was on AI a couple of weeks ago (or was it last week?)....pretty girl, nice voice, and now the flavor of the week.  Mmmhhh.....

Let me know what you think of the quality of that disc.  I've had Maiden requests for years.

This is the song list for the Maiden I ordered. It is in DVD format (may have to find someone to do a conversion for me if it incompatible with my DVD player) -- It is pretty interesting - comes in "bandoke" format - you can use it for karaoke as it is; you can remove lead guitar, drums, bass, etc. - just choose at the beginning. The actual chords run across the bottom. Worth checking out their website if you're a metal player.

HEAVY KARAOKE: HITS OF IRON MAIDEN
1. Run to the Hills
2. Aces High
3. Number of the Beast
4. 2 Minutes to Midnight
5. The Trooper
6. Can I Play with Madness
7. The Evil that Men Do
8. Fear of the Dark
9. Iron Maiden
10. Hallowed Be thy Name
11. Phantom of the Opera
12. Wrathchild
13. Wildest Dreams
14. Holy Smoke
15. Wasted Years

That sounds like so much fun!  I hope that trend catches on.  I play keyboards myself.

Funny, Laura - I read you're classically trained. This is HEAVY, HEAVY METAL stuff...but I'll let you know of the quality. Should be interesting. The European musicians and music scene is often much ahead of us here.
