I downloaded the trial version of CompuHost. When I tried to import a disc (in this case SGB 1002), it wasn't in the database. I'm torn between this program and Hoster. Hoster picked up the disc right away.

Does anyone have problems with CompuHost importing CD-G's?

The AutoNaming feature of CDGRip (included with CompuHost) utilizes the database of FastTracks V2 SongBook Creator. In order to fully utilize the AutoNaming feature you must have a registered copy of FastTracks V2 on your system. FastTracks is offered at a considerably discounted price to all registered CompuHost users.

To see what discs are available for autonaming once FastTracks V2 is installed visit the following link.

As for Hoster's database, be advised that it has not been updated in years! FastTracks is updated every month.

Hoster utilizes the free database & most discs are still listed through there even though their internal database has not been updated since 05.  And the database is no extra charge to their customers, it's already a part of the program.

Yeah but even freedb is missing discs. I ran into that with a Sound Choice disc. No real issue as it was in my KJPro database and I have cdg autoname.

It seems that even if the disc is in the CompuHost db, you still have to manually select a manufacturer and a disc number. In Hoster, it automatically reads the disc for you. This is HUGE to me, since I have over 400 discs to rip to my hard drive.

I like the interface for CompuHost better, and the AutoFiller feature is fantastic! But their disc import feature stinks.
