I hate all these boyband comebacks - nostalgia? BS - it's just $$$!
But hey, if a new generation of kids buy their pop, then fair play to them I guess.

I hear they just locked up the guy who started N'Sync and The BS Boys for defrauding his friends!

Chill out peeps(70's lingo)... ...it's all good. Nothing wrong with with diggin' New Kids on the Block. My kids, though a bit younger, really liked those dudes. I DJ'd some of their songs back then, and the kids loved them, but then it seemed like almost over night, they were totally un-cool. I never figured out why it happened all of sudden like that.
Makes me wanna get my guys back together after 35 years or so.... ...call ourselves "The Old Men on the Porch"...can't do block...hard to do a block when your pumping a walker, no not Johnny red, ok....maybe a little of that too. Gonna do some Snoop Dog, though maybe it'll sound more like Snoopy from Charlie Brown, or Scooby Doo even....can't teach old dogs new tricks.....I haven't heard their reunion stuff yet, but no harm in checking them out.....thanks for the update

Heck I think it's great. If you can sing, you can sing. I don't care how old they are. I'm glad to see some artists that aren't teeny boppers. I wonder if they considered changing their name at all? It does sound odd to call them New Kids.

Old Men on the Street?
I never was into their stuff personally, never got off on the dancing boy bands. SOME of their stuff is ok, but most is just passe bubble gum pop of the era. It will be interesting to hear if they adapted with the time or will try to revive a 'retro' sound.

It's time to admit my shame. I saw them live.
My dad took me as a surprise birthday present when I was 12. He wouldn't say where, but as I saw Wembley approaching, I became aware of the NKOTB signs everywhere.
Unfortunately, this was towards the beginning of the end, they were no longer cool, it was around the time of the "No More Games" joke of a remix album. That nobody bought.
It was hell

LOL LOL
This thread is full of classic quotes starting with "Tone down your font"
I haven't heard the new song, but anyone that is making good music, go for it! A karaoke singer I used to sing with once said, "The best thing about the 90's is that they're over." Bring it on and let's here what it sounds like.

It truly was a terrible night. I mean, I had to pretend to be happy, cos it was a present from my dad, but seriously - it was just as they were on the decline - the most "un-cool" stage of any boybands career. Still big enough to shift a few albums, but with that hint of desperation that they are trying to not split up.

Isn't this a karaoke discussion form? Are the NKOBs putting out karaoke music? Seems like this should go in the off-topic discussion.
