I'll agree with that. Also, the same could be said for the JOLT forum (in a section that was set up specifically for Song Manufacturers and Song Requests). We used to do the same thing there that was done in the SC forum (in the Song Requests section).

If the JOLT forum is dead, I'll miss it terribly. I've made many friends there, and lots of us have even met over the years. We've even had (what we have referred to as) an annual "Summit" (where we have met in large groups for a single weekend get-together). We've also had several Tape/CD projects over the course of 10 years, where we have compiled a collection of each of us singing, created a Karaoke Rotation from it, and sent the recordings back to everyone who wanted a copy. Some of the projects were just any thing you wanted to sing, and some of the projects were themed projects (Country songs, Love Songs, Gender Bender songs, Broadway songs, etc...).


I already know some of you, and vice versa (from the JOLT Forum). I've posted here a few times, but I don't really know a lot of you. I guess that will take some time.

Well Bye bye to the Soundchoice Boards!! I was a regular there and would of appreciated an announcement , just so I got proper info down from the regulars I would  respond to in there.  THANKS FOR THE WARNING!  Also thanks for teasing s with the Headbanger's Hits - Vol. 15  that has been sitting on your site since February without a release date!!!

I admit I use to use their boards for different reasons as well. I would keep a close eye to the songs people want and message them when another manufacturer would release  something another person wanted.

I will say SBI has been SUPER effective on getting peoples wants out!!! The Shocker with me was when they released Alice Cooper's Man of the year from his 2004 Album "The eyes of Alice Cooper" I had to double check to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Sunfly has surprised me lately with some of the stuff they put out and now I can finally say....SUNFLY your version of Soundgarden's "Blackhole Sun" has ALOT more power behind it like the orginal version.  The Soundchoice version is weak and lame.  Sure Soundchoice is tops on most versions but sometimes they don't get it right.

I believe in time Sunfly has improved in the last 2 years.

I was on the SC soundboards for 2.5 years as hurricaneyears aka tim10cc...aka Tim...I will have to say 2.5 years and only 2 request I wanted to see out were granted.   I still don't believe they listened to their customers like others believed they did.

I requested about I would say 25 songs to www.sbikaraoke.com and I would say so far about 12 of them came back!!!

I requested the same to Zoom, Sunfly and STTW and slowly some of them have come back but at least that more satisfaction than I ever got out of SC!!  I feel if you stay on your game, buy their products, sometimes they will come around!

Oh well...my question now is where does one go to request songs ??? or do you just do what I do and email the manufacturers on your own.

As I begin to venture out into other areas of this place I am realizing what a fantastic place this is and what fabulous resource it is too. Thank you to the Karaoke Scene!!!

Both the Sound Choice message board and the JOLT forum are down?  Gone?  Wow, I knew the interest in those places had been declining, but there was a lot of useful info in the archives there.  Just recently I posted a question about a discontinued disc, and got the disc number from one of the helpful members there.

Also, I've made many friends at those places & I'm not sure if I have their current email addresses or contact info anymore.  Not too long ago, Lonnie had to "look me up" through the Sound Choice messaging system.

unsure what the problem is at JOLT, but I don't think it's down permamently. I think it's cause they don't have a webmaster, and the owner doesn't know what to do with the problem. Lonnie and I have emailed the owner, and he says it's a temporary problem.

I have pentacles everywhere...especially round my neck...I also have witches everywhere...drives my husband insane...there is a montage of witches on the wall, one hanging from the mirror in my car, one floating over the bed...and one I keep at work...she tends to start cackling at the most inopportune moment...anyone who I have sent anything to, has also received a witch as a companion
