There is a program called EditCDG. It is a free download from  http://www.editcdg.com/

It allows you to edit the CDG graphics.
Remember they are graphics though.
It took me more than an hour to edit a five letter word.
I have used it mainly to correct screen display.
It requires patience.

Yep, EditCDG will work and it's free!  But it is a pixel editor so don't expect to get text from it.

You could've done the same in a few minutes with CDGFix.
That's why EditCDG is FREE!
It takes Forever to do the simpliest thing.

For example, to correct a Simple Spot with EditCDG you must backup your cursor Just Before the Spot to correct. Hit F2 and Repair. Very Time Consuming.
With CDGFix, stop when you see an error, click Cntrl T, click on Spot and Repair.

Imagine using EditCDG to repair Broken Text. A Piece that landed on the other side of the screen. Nightmare.
With CDGFix, Click Click DONE! 5 Seconds.

Try to adjust the Timing or Trim the Audio separate from the Graphics.

I'd rather Save and pay for Updated Quality and Speed, than settle for Free & Time Consuming.

Kind Regards,
sw00000p

CDGFix doesn't appear to rip text either.  Many features but not that one.

For those wanting to learn how CDG works; EditCDG is the answer!
It contains the basic knowledge for CDG repair.

Then step up to the Big Boy, CDGFix!
and watch your knowledge FLY!

With CDGFix you can:
Repair Any CDG.
Trim Long-Winded Songs. Remove Silence.
Mix Formats (CDG, SCDG, MP3+G, NCG-JB199, NEO+G, and RSQ, Bin+Cue, Zip)
Create Custom Compilations.
Create Text List: CSV, TXT, INX Menu + Juke Txt.
Export as Numbers: 00001.mcg.mp3
Change Exporting Format: D-#-A-T to whatevery you wish.
Change All Colors. No More Blue Screen!
Automatic ID3 Tag Audio upon Export.
Remove Duplicates.
Print Songbook.

How many programs would you need to accomplish all of this?
How much money would you spend to accomplish all of this?
CDGFix, The Best $70.00 Bucks I ever spent.

SCRATCHED Discs... Are A Thing Of The Past!
CDGFix More Bang For Your Buck!!!!!

Frank Crowder's KJ Amp and Roxbox...
Don't Even Come Close!

How about you name a CDG Editior that DOES Rip Text!
As of Now, it doesn't EXIST!

Nevertheless, CDGFix is by far the Best Multi-Featured CDG Editor on the Market Today!

Got stock in the CDGFix company there Sw00000p?  Ripping text was the topic so far as I recall.

I was on topic until Jerry12x mentioned EditCDG.
No Sir, I don't have stock in CDGFix.

I'm just one happy customer that have used this One program
to solve dozens of problems presented on this forum.

It baffles me how such a knowledgable and helpful group of people here
"Miss The Boat" when it comes to CDG Repair and Conversions.

Granted: The Technical advice given here concerning equipment, setup and troubleshooting is Very Detailed and Dead On.
The Technical advice about Detailed CDG repair, leaves much to be desired.
Perhaps the Repair is not important.

I Respect Everyone's Opinion and Sorry to have drifted off topic!

Kind Regards,
sw00000p
