You don't actually play guitar do you?

Can tell - air guitarists who don't play for real always move up the fretboard for high notes and down for lower.

Weird isn't it...

Memories! First as captain air guitar and then Lord Airgtar, I developed that schtick back in 1984. First with just moving my hands across an invisible fret board, then a karaoke jock gave me a fret board and I used that. Then I cut some wood in the shape of a flying vee guitar, stuck some reflectors on it to represent pick ups. Eventually got ahold of a broken guitar I put back together and installed LED lights around the perimeter of the body. Looked cool in a dark club. I know sometimes use an actual guitar that I did no mods to. I rarely take it to karaoke shows, but still get people wondering where it is. just not something I wish to do at this time. Maybe sometime.... I didn't invent it, but in Milwaukee area, I was the air guitar guy. And yes, it is hard to move your hands the correct direction.

It looked liked it must have been some rockin duet with his mom.
