The link above is from the tornado damage that destroyed 1/2 the town of Parkersbug, Iowa (5 miles from my home town of Aplington, and 25 miles from where I live now). 1/2 the photos were taken just 2 hours after the tornado, the rest were taken the next day.

I was in town working on repairing the fiber CATV fiber optic that fed several towns west of Parkersburg (yes I am a cable guy).


It is a utter miracle that anyone survived that F5 monster!

Ours started Se of Greeley Moved in a Nw direction. Missed us about 2 miles to the lifWest It continued on for 38 miles and lifted about 2 miles to the East of our farm. It was 1/2 mile wide most of the time.

I was running errands and didnt even know about or i would have got some good video.
