I'm sure everyone will still be buying SC discs.   I think they have some of the most accurate renditions.  They know the craft well and put alot of thought into their product.   But the way they closed the message board was in poor form, IMHO.   Many people had posted on that board for years.  Some had encyclopedic knowledge of SC's product line and were very helpful to fellow posters.   Even if they couldn't give a few days notice, why not a sentence of appreciation for those who had participated in the forum and been so helpful to others?

There were plenty of people on the board that were helpful and thats what I will miss the most off the board.  I also liked the song request topics because it sort of linked musical taste to other board members. ON the  Plus side  if there was something I was looking for and I wasn't aware of it being released somewhere else, I would receive  a private message from another board member directing me where to go .  I would do the same back.

I do believe SC knows how well the quality of their product is, they get praised about it all the time and perhaps at times it has went to their heads.  I just feel these days whatever SC has in mind , thats what SC will do and the feedback they get from their customer base isnt as valid as it was 3-5 years ago.

EXACTLY!  If I had know the place was shutting down, I would have tried to get email addresses off some of those helpful people that I've met there.

Regarding SC's 8272, I was lucky to obtain a used copy of that disc several years ago.  There's quite a few rare, discontinued songs on that disc that were probably taken out of print due to licensing restrictions.  My disc is damaged, and not all the songs play properly.  But luckily, "Black Hole Sun" plays fine.  Thank goodness, because THAT song was the main reason I wanted the disc in the first place!

I don't think Sound Choice's rendition of "Black Hole Sun" sounds weak at all.  I haven't bought a Sunfly disc in years, so I don't know if they've improved... but I'd have a REAL hard time believing they could do better than Sound Choice.

If this had been handled differently, I could understand their actions. But they've made NO secret that they've abandoned their kj market in favor of the home market anyway. More money into that. Hey, we MADE them successful, and now we're discarded without so much as a notice.

yeah, I tend to get that way when I'm disrespected.

To me, they're just another manu now. If they have something I want, I'll get it. Since there's no loyalty from them, there's no loyalty from me anymore!
