[font=Comic Sans MS]Is there any way to edit a cdg file/song?

Example... a song, in every version, ends while the chorus is fading for the first time... but on the song, it repeats 3 times. The Karaoke versions all sound funny because they just end...

Is there a way to edit this and add the chorus to the end of this a few times??

you talking about editing the music only? or the music AND adding the lyrics?

With music, and it wouldn't be easy, you can use ANY music editing software.

Then for the graphics, you could always rebuild it from scratch... using Dart or Karaoke Builder Studio or I think Powerkaraoke has a builder of some kind.

Lot of trouble if you ask me!

Well yeah, just the music is all that needed... but without having to mess with the entire song/cdg... just where it ends in the middle of the chorus, keep it going.

It depends on the chorus and how well you could blend it in.
Using Audacity you could basically do a "cut and paste" a couple of times.
Sounds a lot easier than it is but it can be done...once again it is the blending of the pasted part(s) that might take time...and again depending on the music itself it could take any where from a couple of minutes to much much more.

Keep in mind though that should you do this the lyrics monitor will not show the lyrics for the repeated chorus again, rather it will end as it alway has...more than likely going out to the manufactures logo or just going black then out.

I've done that once with a karaoke track... once! LOL!

Put some music in the middle of Billy Idol's "White Wedding", the pioneer version.

Took me about a month dinkering with it here and there. Never could get the sound to come out right! Finally gave up on it.

Was using Goldwave. I found it pretty easy to use, but I'm no sound mixer!

I use goldwave all the time for inserting silence, devocalizing, etc., so I'm no stranger to the software.

Adobe Audition Blends the Music Perfectly.
CDGFix Sync's the Tracks Perfectly.

Just finished inserting music in the middle of Billy Idols - White Wedding.
I'm really rusty using Adobe Audition. Took me an Hour!

Kind Regards,

also remember that if you insert music into a music track and it has accompanying graphics, that file will then be totally off sync... and the only way that I know to fix it would be to rebuilt it entirely.

Maybe Sw00p has some insight on cdgfix to see if it could be adjusted.

I know if it was a track I built with Karaoke Builder Studio, inserting silence wouldn't be a problem, as you can click the words and code in edit mode and go to the end and shift click, highlighting the entire section you selected and merely drag them down the necessary space.

Thanks for all the help guys.. Im gonna try and just add to the end of the music with one of my programs and see if it will work out Not going to touch the lyrics, just add the mp3 repeats at the end of the song if I can get them to sound right.

Edit your Audio and Re-Sync the graphics with ROXBOX. It's Awesome!

When doing a cut and paste, zoom in and make the cut where the wave line cross the center line. If you, you may get pop sound. Joint the loop at the centerline too.
