When listing files on you HD or in you song book for that matter how do you deal with

A's and The's do you delete them or make it ,A or ,The after the name

Do you change And's to &'s to make name shorter

I like to delete the A's and The's and change And's to &.

I do change every AND to the ampersand. Although when I did a global replace, I accidently changed a couple of artists like Barbra Streis&! !

I just remove the "A's" or the "The's"...

so my listing for the Bee Gees is simply "Bee Gees"

etc.

I commify The and A if it is in the song title as ripped. For artists, I have a database of them and basically don't allow both "Beatles" and "Beatles, The". I wrote a script which automatically changes artist to be standard (in my case "Beatles, The").

I change " and " to " & ", and remove any period in the file -- i.e. "B.T.O." becomes "BTO".

When I do my song books I put ( ,A ,The) at the end of the title.

When listing 2 artists (a duet) I put for ex: Bon Jovi / Jennifer Nettles

When the "and" is in the title I use "&". If "and" is at the begining of the title I use the word itself "And".
