I mean, when you stand at your equipment for well over ten hours and through the middle of the night

Fine, ignore me - that's your choice, and if you want to display zero class, go right ahead. But my equipment costs money - I have basically lent it to you for free - so I am effectively paying for the karaoke at your show.

This is why I advertise at shows - put the name, number and so on, up on a big screen. If you won't thank me, I can at least get some free promotion. That's how sponsorship works.

Vicki I totally understand what that feels like. I did a benefit for free and everyone was thanked but me. The funny thing is the announcement was made on my system with me standing right behind him at the board ! I worked from noon until 9pm making all their announcements, doing their raffles and drawings, and karaoke.

yeah I was panelling from the side of the stage rather than leave it to the sound booth too. Then I sang for a couple of hours. It was my mixer, my mics my fold back and above all my intellectual property (and will remain mine because no-one has written a clause into my contract stating the intellectual property belongs to my employers) but it was all plugged into the theatre's soundsystem and ultimately the sound tech had to push the master faders up so as it could be heard
