It keeps this old mind young Babs Yea I'm set now to start video recording shows and parties. The trend now is to have videos on your website. Even slide show movies like that one. That very well could have been (minus the partying) a recruitment video for UNC.
The next plan is recording singers vocal only, then mixing at home & then provide a personal password protected folder on the website for downloading. The same will work with videos.
The slide that pops up during runnin' scared is 8th Ave old downtown main street, of course all the big shopping centers are on the edge of town. Greeley is still one of the many little towns that portrays the heartland of America.

I think you are right about doing new things and it keeping you young. My parents were always like that and I plan on following in their foot steps. They are 76 yrs young and still doing new things all the time and when I compare them to their friends at the same age it is amazing how much younger they seem.

Ollie, that was pretty cool. I watched it night before last at home. I wanted to get into video editing (I think I sent you the link to my mudbog video on MySpace?) .... I just don't have the patience for that kind of thing. I do think videos on the web are pretty cool though, you can get to know people better than you do by just *talking* online. You get to actually see them live.
(and no.. I'm not meaning those kinds of videos)
The place I usually sing at used to have a site where when you clicked on a singer's picture, you could hear a song they had sang at karaoke. I'm not so sure the site is up and running anymore though. But it never had videos.

Never got the link. With the camcorders they have now take videos. I would love to have videos of my grandpa working horses or sitting there during family functions telling his stories which gave us a foundation and way to live other than the box that brainwashes kids now.

Yeah, I think lots of times just how cool it would be to see my grandparents (and my parents too) on video in their younger days, rather than just in mostly black and white photos. I never knew one of my grandfathers, I was born in Texas and he lived here in Oregon at that time, and he died while I was young. It would certainly be cool to be able to know something of him besides a few old snapshots. The oldest videos I have are when my oldest son (now almost 22) was about 6 years old.
I thought I had given you the link. I know Keith had it, but I'm sure he doesn't still have that PM, or I'd have him forward it to you.. it was a while back. I can't access MySpace here at work, so I 'll have to do it later. I edited the video with background music, it turned out much cooler than just hearing the loud trucks.

Okay, here ya go Ollie.
It's not the greatest video, the girl running it seemed to be a bit drunk, but I kinda like it with the music behind it;)

One time the pros came in made a big mudbog and had the mudhogs with great big tires. They would hit it with engine screaming like at a tractor pull. Of course they would spin out.
An old rancher pulled up in his dodge power wagon and watched a couple Then he calmly drove in and at a slow speed went all the across then pulled up on the bank got out and waved to everybody Then went back to the bar. We never laughed so hard in our life.

I like that video you made Charmin! That song worked really well with it too.
Sounds like you had fun that day plus it was for a good cause!

We never laughed so hard in our life. We had a similar situation once, but on snow not mud.. had people trying to help pull a guy out of a ditch, all kinds of jacked up trucks. We had an 84 Ford Bronco, mudgrips but other than that was just our every-day family rig. People were like "you're not going to be able to pull him out, you'll just lose traction".... they were surprised when we piggybacked another rig and towed them both up the hill without slipping whatsoever..... I'm betting a few more of them guys looked into trading their souped up Toyota's in for Bronco's. Quote: I like that video you made Charmin! That song worked really well with it too. TY... I thought the songs I chose went pretty good with the theme of the video. I didn't sync the last couple notes of the song very well with the end of the video, I'm thinking I should have trimmed another second or so off the music. But, it was a first try with doing that.... and yeah, it was for a very good cause, and tons of fun on top of it. Here I was, in a State Farm Insurance t-shirt, and out there slinging some mud along with the rest of them. (was great advertisement for the office,Lol)
