Ha, Timberlea - haven't heard the term Duotang since high school. Lots of people will be scratching their heads - I think this is a Canadjun term, eh. Thanks for the memory.

[font=verdana] Karen K. I have my books printed, (240 pages) at a local printer for .04 a page. My binders I bought a case off of ebay, about half the price of the ones at Walmart. The first ones I bought were supposed to have blue inside, but the ones I received were white inside and out. I contacted the seller and she sent me a case of the right ones but didn’t want to pay the shipping to return the other ones. She said to just keep them. Great deal for me. Of course Johnny has used them for almost a year, before he bought larger binders, so not many of the first case left.
Binders $28.99 (2 cases of 12) because of the wrong shipment Plastic sleeves $45.00 (Case of 1000)
I’m thinking that the sleeves included shipping, but I believe I did have to pay shipping cost on the binders.
Seems I misquoted, must have been thinking about the printing cost per book. It breaks down as follows.
Binder: 1.21 Sleeves 5.40 Printing; 9.60 Total 16.21

I redo books once a year. The best binders i've ever used are springpost binders from itoya that don't come apart and are very well made. i use sheet protectors as well.
Most of my singer prefer artist books over title books, so i print 8 artist and 4 title but rarely ever place all of them out. At $18 a book with discount from kinkos, 320 pages, it averages to about 5 cents a page and is usually done in 24 hours.
The karaoke diehards here in hawaii will usually bring in their own discs for the newest hits, but i will still pick up a disc if a songs been requested many many times. Nearly everyone here prefers to sing songs that are a few years old.

JR.
Still intrigued with the "new" Itoya binding system and was intending to get back to some of your previous posts on the subject. So, instead, I now ask.
are they available in Office Depot and the like?
I just used a friends program that comes with RoxBox to print a book by "Artist"; the book it produces by "Title" is not very attractive and comes out to twice as many pages. Any recommendations about RoxBox or an alternative for printing a book by "Title"?
Matt said mentioned he's using access. I'm curious how that software sorts, organizes and prints?

Finally just reprinted mine. I used Song List Generator and went the binder/sheet protector route. Just couldn't break down and try out the spiral bound option. Maybe next time. Total cost was something like $175 for 8 books, or about $22 per book. They look great! For now...

I think we end up printing books every week. With 50+ shows a week a lot of them get ruined by beer, food, etc....
