Yes use the Lexicon on the FX send. To make it mono, just use one input & one output on the Lexicon - usually it is the left channel that will combine the signal but check your manual. If it is stereo/dual channel only, then run it back through a stereo channel.
Why a mic per sub? Run all mics to 1 sub, all music to 2 & 3 (do you really need the dj & karaoke music separated at this point?) & efx to 4. Then you can also set it to mono here as well by pushing the L/R in.
