I'm trying to find a small external DVD drive that can read CD+G as my current built-in drive cannot.

My question is that LG older models have CD+G support, are there any new models that support CD+G? I know there are lists floating around that lists compatible drives, but most of the drives listed are outdated/not on the market anymore.

Any other recommendations besides LG? Thanks :)

Newer Plextors do not have the cdg ability anymore. They have discontinued the option.

There are several that will work with cdg provided you have the right software to begin with. 2 of the best that will use almost any dvd/cd drive is MTU Microstudio & PowerKaraoke Power CD Burner. These two programs work well where other software will not recognize the dvd/cd drives.
Which software are you using?
